FFS you people are dramatic. 142 people out of literally MILLIONS of players got an item… and that “completely destroys the integrity of the game?” Rofl? Grow up
yes im pretty sure you dont have. i have freaking more than 450h with no hope to get them. Suddenly 50 100h random casual garbage get them via bug. So you basicly tell me this is fair right? Stop being nonsense. So basicly what im telling you is you are nothing for me. im the one playing this game not you. So stop even try to argue me.
I’m blown away. Didn’t think this company could get lower. They even admit that they might need to delete things like this in the future to maintain fairness.
Why aren’t they interested in fairness right now? This is so unbelievable. Yet so believable.
No ones’s gonna care about this in 2 weeks time where you’ll be slurpin’ that rehashed d3 season. not to mention buying that battle pass :')
It obviously wasn’t working as intended and people knew it and abused it.
Not that I am angry at them for doing so.
Blizzard basically just confirmed that they did exactly the right thing
Between Seasons and the inevitability of power creep, these items won’t have much meaning beyond being nice trophies.
Have you even read the stats on the 2 helm uniques that people were getting from this? +4 to all skills/ the only item with Life Steal. These are arguably the two most busted items in the game. They admitted in the update that they are able to ID these people and that they may in the future need to remove items for fairness. If this isn’t a completely lack of integrity to you, you have 0 sense of fairness to begin with.
is an rng item everyone just gets them
It worked exactly how it was intended. Helltides were not dropping uniques, and they changed that. Classes not having any other uniques for a slot that can be targeted from slot-specific chests, such as harlequins’ crest, is not an exploit just because Blizzard is incompetent.
So that’s why they instantly disabled and hotfixed it?
Because it worked exactly as intended?
Do I know what the stats on a Shaco are? Sure… It’s entirely irrelevant to me because I play druid but… sure…
142 out of 10 million players. You’re about as likely to get a Shaco to drop yourself as you are to run into one of these players in the game.
Do you even understand the words you are typing? “worked exactly how it was intended” has a clear meaning. If your statement was true they would have never hotfixed it out. Think a little before hitting reply…
Remember map hack back in d2 days? Blizzard would not make a call on maphack being an exploit. They allowed addons in the game. Bots and pickit were ruling the game (and still are). So most everyone got maphack.
Blizzard just one day out of the blue decided to ban all people for maphack. No warning, just did it. It make them a ton of money knowing most would rebuy the game.
Again, their incompetence =/= exploit.
Technically not an exploit, just poor coding on Blizzard’s part.
That’s called bug exploiting.
Oh nooo! How can this be!!! 142 people have something I don’t! Oh my gosh!!! Panic!!! It’s UNFAIR!
Hey buttercup. Life is unfair. Deal with it.
ikr P2W is fine. amirite
It was shared on the web, streamed and even on these forums exactly how to exploit the chests.
They wanted uniques to drop, uniques dropped. An unintended side effect of that were super uniques dropping because some classes had no other unique to be dropped in its’ place.
The intentional action still occured. Think before you respond. It’s still not an exploit because of stupidity.
TL;DR: Stop crying about this, it doesn’t even matter. You should be more angry about the idiotic drop chance than a couple of people getting super uniques.
