It’s funny people try to defend D4 by comparing it to a 20 year old game.

Wrong. I played vanilla diablo 2 24/7 when it came out, I was literally farming mephisto over and over again and it was amazing.
Diablo 4 just sucks.

You were literally farming a single boss by your own admission.
That seems rather repetitive and boring.
It still was more enjoyable than this MMO-like timed bullsh!t you can do in D4. Helltides, tree of whispers, dungeons with backtracking and no mobs density - repeat x999. Then you get full eq of trash with 100 conditional affixes (+11% dmg to left-handed enemies that were born on mondays) that is a chore to look through.
So why did they try to reenact that experience for 2023 game I wonder?
The results are plain for everyone to see🤷♂️
D4 has over an hour of cutscenes.
This is the D2 experience. It is not just bosses you can run either. But Baal runs are common.
Dad had Mac, so it was console games for me until i started WoW in 2006.

More of a reason this game shouldn’t be like Diablo 2. You need to make a product the masses want, not expect the masses to force-like your product and tell them they’re wrong if otherwise.
Each game had it’s time. Need to adapt.
To be fair I skipped on Diablo 2 on launch because it was crap, D4 is much better than D2 on launch. D2 was terrible until LoD.

Nah, because at 1 week you prolly just hit act 2, D2 was hard, but also easy at the same time.
You can literally teleport corpse run to beat a boss, even if you hit it once and die, as long as you keep doing it, you eventually win.
Most of the people posting on this forum already PLAYED D2 when it was released or not long after, you sir are underestimating the age of the average gamer. Us 30+ year olds are the fathers/mothers of the gaming industry.
