7 million Seasonal characters made. How many completed the Season Journey?

I made one to look at the season progress stuff then was like NOPE

It still sits in town at lvl 1 to this day.

Didn’t finish the journey, but I finished the battlepass for the cosmetics. Kinda hoping they bring back paragon portraits.

This is less a game and more an ā€œengagement metric platformā€ with the purpose of funneling you into the store. Except, it does a bad job at it, because while they thought of all the great ways to slow down players and keep the treadmill going they forgot that being on the treadmill needs to be actually fun rather than a frustrating chore.

somehow after 1.1.1 the exp got worse despite the mob density getting better. Feels like a ton more work to level now. Stealth nerf to exp to pair with the mob density and what’s the point of finishing the grind to 100 to top it off?

Played from 1 to 60 in like 2 days. Was fun with my rogue since she was new to me. After that however… the fun quickly goes down the drain since doing thousands nightmare dungeons with the occasional legion or helltide isn’t really appealing doing it all again just on the barber realm.

Now I login every couple of days… do one or two nightmare dungeon. Thinking to myself why I even do this and log off.

I haven’t completed it.

I might complete the BP but definitely not going to complete the season.

I don’t PvP, not going to level to 100, have no interest in pushing those stupid gimmick dungeons to the point where the mobs are going to one shot me from me offscreen, don’t like the raids/world bosses.

I only have one seasonal character, rogue i did push to lvl 90, while my eternal druid was 92. I did played until some nm 55+ but i don’t plan levelling to max neither pushing nm100’s or going for Uber Lilith, IT feels a bit like a chore and like there is not much incentives to do so (at least usually in POE, completing the last/hardest challenges of a season usually rewards some shiny things, exclusive skins pretty often). Finished the (free) BP as well.

Yesterday is the first day i didn’t felt like starting D4 at all, and i expected that would happen soon. Well, let’s say it was fun the time it lasted, even though we all know this type of game, if well designed, should hook us for a much longer time, months if not years, so this is obviously a disappointment. I may come back to it later i can’t say, but good chances i’ll dive into some other games.

9/10 are mules to solve stash issue, especially in S1 with all the hearts and invokers.

somehow i suspect bliz will be far less eager to show how many characters are created for s2. looks like each time they and their wks are eager to brag about some incredible performance, not even a couple weeks later that comes back biting nastily in some surprised outraged bottom, at which point that very same metric someone was so proud to boast about, suddenly is trash and not worth considering…

Doubt they will be so forthcoming with S2 stats if the anecdotal and experiential exodus of players is indeed real.

Don’t beleive that at all. 70k max if even that many

If by season journey you mean max the pass that’s very fast and easy. I had it done without trying by early WT3.

If you mean do all chapters AND all challenges (latter isn’t required) then it would be a lot less people. I’m currently on the last chapter but not really yet trying to finish the challenges as I’m focused on other things and the rewards (titles) are really meh. Make it another stash tab and then we’ll talk…

Thats incorrect. I gained much more experience in season than i did in eternal. In eternal it would take me 3 to 4 dungeons to get 1 point after 95. Now it takes 2 and like the beginning if a 3rd.

Got mine. Just butt-in-seat time, nothing particularly challenging required.

Title, one time use scroll, and 3 poorly rolled ancestral rares (none of which were usable let alone an upgrade) as a reward was… anticlimactic.
