Endgame is a concept that is working for mmo but not seasonal focused games.
It works pretty well in PoE. Endgame is ofc most important of ARPG.

Define endgame in poe.
My definition of endgame is pretty simple.
So in poe goal is always there. Expensive build, some item you never had, beat all bosses etc etc etc. There is lots of chasing if you like it.
They way to get it. mapping (lots of modification via atlas etc), bossing, craft, trade, raids, simula, garden etc etc etc.
In D4 your goal and âchaseâ (hahaha) is to get +0,2% on one affix on same item you have last 30 lvl and you can hope to get in few same dungeons. Thats it.
In poe fun start at 90-100 lvl. At d4 you already end at 80.
You start mapping at level 66. Thatâs two third and less than half the xp of max⌠So why exactly should you need to be 100 in diablo to start it?
Since you spend more time in this so called endgame than the rest, the terminology is pretty stupid. But thatâs just me.
Nothing makes me special and entite game should not change because of me
but look what is happening:
There is an idea out there that leveling will be 40% faster so im assuming that im not the only one who thinks it takes too much time.
If blizzard listens than maybe a lot of players have the same problem so they are hopefully adressing it soon. All it takes is a lot of whine from many people like me. Deal with it
I assumed there is no point to explain to you. Your number of post was big clue what type of âplayerâ you are Rob
You can just say you disagree without being offensive towards him
That is his opinion, and I disagree as well.
I play like 2 hours daily and a little longer on weekends and had no issues getting to 100 in half the season time. I thought the current pace was fine. I would like to see more engaging content vs making the game shorter.
This is a fair statement, but I feel itâs going to change with season 2. One of the big reasons it feels like there is nothing to do at lvl 100 is because thereâs nothing to chase with every monster in wt4 being able to drop any ilvl piece of gear and lots of times you are done gearing by lvl 80. Going forward with the change to gear drops youâll now have something to shoot for with the bosses dropping uniques and higher monsters dropping higher ilvl gear.
Now that we have things to chase, lvl 100 will likely feel much different trying to get the uniques and 925 gear.
Hereâs the rub for me. I wouldnât mind leveling as is if the content/loot grind wasnât so awful. I donât mind farming or grinding, but it gets old quickly and the current itemization has taken all the fun out of pieces dropping completely.
I guess weâll see tomorrow how itâs going to be.
I am the same way, I think building and the discovery are the best parts of the game.
I am still tweaking and trying after 100 also.
Weird way to tell me you never played poe but ok.
To be considered actually playing the game, Iâd draw the line at 10 hours a week. 3 weekdays where you play 2 hours a day, and one weekend where you play for 4 hours.
Anything below that shouldnât have any guarantees.
Dude you nitpicked 1/10 things I mentioned and failed even with that. I hope you feel good somehow, but everyone with decent amount of braincells knows.
Honestly this may be POEâs biggest problem.
I decided to try it again before the D4 launch while I was waiting.
The first 10 levels was boring but I stuck with it. And I am glad I did, because it got better.
I started liking it. I got to chapter 6 and by then my impression was a lot of wasted trash mobs and bosses with one shot mechanics. I still like it, but it started to feel like I was just wasting my time. Nothing other than bosses required any kind of actual playing while I had my toxic rain gem and my ballistas. So I put it down to come back to it laterâŚbut I have been playing D4 since. I have heard from other people too that I needed to get to maps for it to be funâŚand I think to myself âno I donât NEED toâ
Matter of choice. I kinda like it that way. But TBH i hate doing acts.
EDIT: But i agree if lower lvl was somehow relevant in late game, I would like that too.
Its also completely subjective. I rarely played any character above 90 in poe and still had immense amounts of fun. I think i only ever had one char over 90 and then it got tedious.
If 66 levels are fine then why make 100 of them? Cap it at lvl 70 and everyone will be happy. There is no valid argument of keeping lvl cap at 100 if many players never even reach 90
Because itâs an arbitrary round number with history. There isnât a valid argument to change it either.
Also i stated that mapping starts at 66. That doesnât mean you shouldnât level while mapping. What a weird way to look at itâŚ
LVL cap is at 100 for players who want to get there.
I agree there is a problem with Item pacing.
But if you do not want to play past 70 then donât, those other levels are for players who want to get to 100.
Will i be competitive at lvl 70 compared to someone who is lvl 100?
If not, then i need lvl 100 aswell
