So, if a Royal is worth 100,000, I need 250 Royal gems to make a Grand Horadric. At 3 gems per dungeon run, and about 30 seconds per run, I need to make about 100 runs of the exact same dungeon … but since you waste some making the gem type you need, and several types aren’t combinable, to what you need, it’s really more like three times that number.
Or 750 runs for a single “end game” gem. Hours of repetetive slog. So much fun and winning.
Add this to having many 8 loss streaks at 45% chance when upgrading glyphs … lol … no wonder the “designers” at Blizzard are falling back to D3 design criteria for D4 in a lame attempt to keep customers.
This dungeon isn’t even an intended method of gem farming. Really not sure what Blizzard planned with this one, especially considering all other target-farming methods for gems are dog!@#$
30 seconds? hot damn. i average like a minute and i dont stop movign and 1 shot everything.. must be a broken barb in which case.. you dont even need gems silly person.
its not… unintended. its just the most efficient. its not bugged. all dungeons drop 3 gems when you finish them. but i feel like this isn’t what blizzard was intending. either that or their intention was for you to just not get them because they aren’t “necessary”
the grind is NOT optional.. do not get gaslighted.
those gems give you alot of power on an arpg power is not optional.. it’s not a cosmetic, title, pet, mount or a ****ty mount thropy. And I didnt grind for any of the new gems and I dont regret it because it’s not a fun grind..
And yes the grind is AWFUL for the new gems but the gem system itself is pretty bad too
They added in a bunch of overtuned nonsense so they could say we played the season for a long time. “Look how long players played season 13!” The amount of time it takes to create 1 grand horadric gem is the reason. It is not an impressive reason.
I run echos for the goblin loot bags. fair amount of gem fragments in those. Also got my Mythic seal the Diamond one from loot bags. It’s ok but nothing to write home about.
