Really puts single player at a huge disadvantage when doing Duriel runs. Cut in half when going solo in dungeon … that would be nice! Without a group finder it’s taken up too much time to find a group. Fix it please.
Multiplayer should have an advantage over solo, specially WO a ssf mode
But the gap dont need to be this wide
+1
To reduce the gap betwen solo and group play
in my opinion, more than solo vs multi it’s about RMT having so much impact on it.
what the game should do in my opinion is :
- Uber mat being untradeable (to stop people from rmting the mats and actually farm…in a farming game)…
- either only the mat user have a chance at uber unique or each participant have to use 1 shard and 1 egg to participate whether it’s solo or multi. (to stop "paid runs’ aswell and to have uber unique actually be “earned” )
- multiplayer would still have an edge considering the regular uniques and 925 items that is rewarded aside of the potential uber even if only the mat user would have a chance at uber
The price of Duriel runs is too damn high!
insert too damn high meme here
Snoop Dogg called and said there is no such thing as too high!
not anymore, considering any nmv and nmd above t80 grants secure ilvl 925s.
im with you on the other suggestions of yours if it was to reduce, or remove the mats. Drop the chances for uber uniques to something like 0.2%
Solo should have more rewards than party play, 75% of party players are just there to get boosted, internet facts, solo is harder.
so you want this mmo-lite arpg to beome a solo player game? i dont see a logical reasoning behind this.
true, but the guaranteed unique is still pretty neat and still quite an advantage eitherway.
yea having duriel at the end of a dungeon , no mat needed , and 0,2% drop chance would do nicely too as i said in previous post.
or make it so any nmd have that chance and leave Duriel as it is (but with bound mat )
I don’t even care if they have mats like beast in ice or zir. But farming mats to kill two bosses to get half an entry fee to Duriel is too many layers of BS.
It wouldn’t be needed if mats were soulbound and everyone paid. They could even give some exp for killing the bosses, then, because people couldn’t buy 100s of runs. And streamers would actually have to do the work.
5 living steel per summon for solo? It is just no no no no! Thats why I stopped doing helltide for ages. I didnt play Diablo IV soon 2 months coz nothing to do until season 4. This is so bad, really bad design!
you are saying there is too much to do for ubers, but on the other hand you say theres nothing to do until season 4?
Nope, I dont bother to farm living steel and I dislike helltide. I have no reason to continue to play until season 4.
so you dislike grinding in general?
Nobody like farm materials! People complain about it!
would you prefer the farming if there were no mats at all, but the uber drop chance reduced to 0.2%?
I would be happy if they remove materials!
I’m in the same boat, I don’t like grinding for little to no payout. Regardless of the whole solo/group debate. If I farm for hours, to get a few items to summon a few bosses, to then summon another boss, and I receive little to no reward for it in the whole process, I feel my time is wasted. Now that being said I don’t want items handed to me on a silver platter, but I have to ask, what the point is of making us go through a tedious farming spree to get to one boss?
While D2 had Ubers as well, their implementation was much the same, but even worse then D4, there were no guarantees you would get the keys off of the bosses you farmed. Now the fact that Uber Diablo didn’t have a 100% chance to drop the torch was perfectly fine with me, but the grind to get there made me less and less willing to do it every time just at a chance to get the torch. It slowly whittled away my drive to farm that particular content.
I feel the same in D4, but I made the decision early not to engage with Duriel beyond what I needed for seasonal objectives or if friends were farming him. I’ll gladly help out, but I’m not wasting literal hours of my time to go farm mats for a chance at a lottery ticket. Keep the lottery ticket in the game, make him easier to get to, and I might go after him a few more times. Even then I don’t see myself farming him 200+ times each season. That’s just me though.
Nerf his drop rate for ubers to the ground, let me get to him easier so I can farm the normal uniques and 925 gear, and I’ll be good.
yea, as you know, thats something i can totally be on board with. while i personally dont have too many issues with the materials, i can see that others dislike it. hence why im totally on Gammas suggestion, remove the mats, drop the uber unique drop chance to 0.2% or so, and everyone in theory can be happy. People who want to grind can do so and achieve stuff other players are not, while on the other hand, people can just access him easily, and have a shot at him whenever they feel like doing so.
Summoning materials are an outdated delay tactic, and RMT magnet. Do away with them and put the bosses at ends of dungeons. They have the technology in game already to time gate fights inside dungeons, if that is their concern. It could even be a multilevel dungeon, which seem to have been forgotten in this iteration of Diablo. Along with also forgetting Diablo, and repeating the campaign on different difficulties.
