because you purposely left out massive chunks of the content that’s coming just to complain. It’s a free seasonal patch, not an expansion. This is a ton of new stuff to do and they’ll keep building off of it. You didn’t include new items, gear, builds, legendaries, uniques, events, story, or anything else that matters.

No one cares about you weird definition. Play on eternal if you want.

Go tell PoE players a new season sucks because a lot of the content affects Standard league. No one cares, they play Season anyways.

I literally just broke down what was season and non seasonal and a basic game update. No where in what I said expressed my personal opinion on seasons or the list. Grow up. Fast.

I think those malignant hearts are going to be able to change builds up significantly, they related them to strong legendary aspects. I’m pumped to try them all out and see what builds come out of it.

The problem it’s not a horizontal expansion, it’s a vertical “buff” on top of buffs

Instead of adding a new trigger/mechanic (let’s name it Overload) that can replace Crit and allow you do all those “cool lightning things in new season” they just buffed Crit to also cause (again, let’s call it Overload)

Get the problem ?, instead of adding options they buff already busted mechanics with even more power…

We’re heading again the:

Sacred => Ancestral => Splendid => Pristine => Demonic => Angelic => Celestial => Cosmic item route…

It’s just a bad decision, that’s why I didn’t like the idea to appease the “where’s WT5” folk cause that’s what the game will look like for bloody hell long time from now on

that is not end-game, it is farming. same as NMs, are not end-game, are farming.
e.g. GreaterRifts with Leaderboards from D3 are end-game. yes, pvp is end-game but in D4 is garbage.

Because that isn’t seasonal content but overall stuff, and again I just listed the systems instead of writing out each sub-point because you could in theory write an almost unlimited amount at that point, which I don’t want to do because I expect everyone under this thread to have watched/read the info.

literally 0 really important changes but:

  • questionable power creep
  • if i want trade items discord is still mandatory
  • paragon reset button as difficult to implement as it is to fix resistances(rocket sience)
  • 0 new uber bosses?

What else?

Pretty par for the course in Diablo games. They stated from the start that any story content would be to further the seasonal mechanic and nothing to progress the actual story (which will be done in expacs).
They did say they will be making balance changes.
Complete fog of war lifted and complete renown carryover (on seasonal AND eternal realms)
Seasons were and are all about a new mechanic, and a chance to play new characters different ways.
Remember, this is a season, not an expansion. And there is a lot going on. The update is exactly what I was expecting as a long time Diablo players.
Looking forward to it.

You also have to pay for enough amenities in PoE that it’s basically P2W.

F2P games generally suck.

Spoken like someone who plays 1hr a day.

There’s nothing to do at lvl 90-100 except grind NM dungeons.

Clear a T100 or beat Uber Lillith? Then what? Nothing is exciting about this season because people will become dissatisfied after they realize there’s nothing to do.

Yeah, it looked pretty good for me comparing it to PoE. It’s not something super exciting that will cure my depression but it looks like a solid season comparing it to similar titles and a good improvement over D3 seasons.

Pretty disappointed honestly. I didnt expect much but this is kinda small. Pretty much a short questline, a new gem type that adds multiple more layers of RNG due to it being colored and has to match the gear color. Also will take up even more storage space. A few new lego powers. Thats about it.

It’s not enough that I would typically be drawn to re-roll and start this slog all over again, but the BP is part of my game edition so I will play through the BP and that will probably be the last time I touch a season.

Knowing if an update is seasonal only, or part of both seasons and eternals is not semantics. It’s just information so people know where the content is? Are you okay LOL?
