In anticipation of Resurrected I installed d2 again (even bought it again, god only knows what happened with my old keys) and it’s a “checking versions” bonanza. EU gateway. Get out of a muling game, disc, “checking versions” … pffft, good bye items. bnetd run by random guys was better, simple as that.
There are modern day protocols that we need to follow to prevent these things from happening. Let me know if you need to know what they are.
