The bad performance issues are on PC and the company’s response to gamers that have 1070 / 1080 / 2070 / 2080 cards was to turn down the settings. (Console gamers have no such option). So, even on top-end, current generation cards, the game runs worse than the six year old game it’s a sequel to.

The only thing that has changed in years is them adding multipliers to some items a adding more power creep to provide an illusion that you’re actually progressing. The game is still the same trash.

About BL3; try playing a game before you rush to conclusions. BL3 has it’s flaws, like all the games in that franchise have had at release, but iv’e been playing it for a few weeks now and it’s actually really good.
Gearbox has a quick release followed by long-term patch attention approach to their games. BL2 was just as bad in terms of bugs and performance at release, but runs very well now. I’m not saying their approach to releasing games is great, it’s just that people giving it bad review are jumping the gun a little bit.
Besides, the graphical style of borderlands games benefit very little from higher settings or resolutions. My PS4 version runs very well while still looking good. The minor bugs are being gradually patched out with each update, which are also improving it’s high-resolution performance. On standard resolution (1080p performance mode), the game runs smoothly with high frames.
Why would I buy a game that doesn’t run properly at release on high end video cards? Also, did you notice this thread is three months old? So, three months after release it still has performance issues. That’s not a model of game I want to pay for. I expect AAA price games to be functional at release.
Wasn’t this game released 8.5 years ago and is still going pretty strong? Just saying, they must have done something right.
And yet here you are 8 years later still plaguing the games forum rather then moving on and doing something else

Look at how absolutely toxic the community is here. If you dare criticize the game they attack you despite everyone knowing the game was an utter failure.

The game gets trashed because it deserves to. I’ve wasted an embarrassing amount of hours on this game. The toxicity has always been fueled by the state of the game and the lack of appropriate action by the Blizzard team.
You need look no further than Whimsyshire to see one of the biggest middle fingers I’ve ever seen directed at a player base.

If you dislike the game sooo much , why are you here. Just leave mate. There are plenty of us enjoying S19 and have full intent on playing S20.
I love the game and find things like Whimsyshire funny. Games not for everyone but thats no need to come in and bash it. A great game is all a matter of perspective.

The toxicity is fueled by D2 and PoE that specifically come to trash the game even though they don’t play and probably can’t find players in D2 and PoE so need to come to D3 to trash the game and try to find someone they can play PoE and D2 with
