I see on Maxroll and other places that it’s recommended to switch to lightning on the POJ Tempest Rush build for monk. How is this effective if they keep the Flurry rune that makes the skill into cold damage?
I have Essence of Anguish with lightning but not with cold, but not sure if it’s any good, the altar bonus to elemental dmg will switch to lightning and I will lose cold dmg.
Stone of Jordan will convert all lightning damage to cold for flurry. It won’t stack with convention of elements on cold cycle though.
They are using Stone of Jordan, and Won Kim Lau always has a 15-25% lightning increase percentage. Stone of Jordan kicks all elemental damage percentages to that of the highest percentage of any one element. Because of Won Kim Lau and Stone of Jordan, stacking lightning will result in a larger Cold Damage increase than stacking Cold.
A side benefit of Stone of Jordan is that it has large damage multiplier against elites, as high as 30%.

I don’t use SOJ for pushing so I will not use my lightning essence of anguish then.
if the weapon has a lightning/fire damage roll, will the essence gem with bonus 50% fire/lightning damage work with cold flurry?
