Whats excactly is the leaderboard?

Ok so I saw that theres a leaderboard and I dont really get some stuff in it, Like whas a tier? (I saw like Tier:145) and what do I need to do to get there? do I have to open a seasonal hero?

I don’t pay much attention to the leaderboards since they are known to be infested with cheaters, but I did a quick web search for you and came up with this information.

Good luck in your endeavors.

The tier means the Greater Rift level that was completed in under 15 minutes.

There are leaderboards for Non-season as well, but it is very difficult to get on that LB because there are a lot of players in NS that have very high Paragon levels, which helps them rank higher.

If you want to try to get on the Seasonal Leaderboard, you would need to make a seasonal character.

Only the top 1000 players/teams make it on the LB, so you would need to be better than the vast majority of casual players.

There are a lot of build guides for each class. I recommend websites like Icyveins.com or Diablofans.com. Also the YouTuber Bluddshed makes good tutorial videos for each build.

The best way to get on the leader board for solo is to get a group to clear up to that level with you, to unlock that level in your obelisk. That way you can try that level over and over for days on end until you beat it.

Usually to get a high rank you’ll need a good map, good mob type, good elites, and good pylons. I’ve heard rumors of people using hundreds of keys for one clear.

Thanks!
another question (idk if you can answer it tho)
I’m playing barbarian, at what paragon level do you think I can get to like, tier 126?

Look at the Leaderboard at GR 126 in-game, then right click on some of the players, and select “View Hero Details”.

That will show you what paragon level they were and what gear and skills they were using when they ran that particular GR.

It does not necessarily mean that you will be able to replicate it when you reach the same paragon level, but it will give you an idea of what is required.

It looks like they range from between 1350 to 3000 paragon. But only 25 players in the game have made it that high.

Unless you play for 8 hours or more per day in 4 man groups, you should not expect to make it to the top 25 players in the game, because they all play that much or more.

I actually just want to get to the top 1000 barbarian
not top 25 players in the game

I am probably a little above average for hours played. I have 126 hrs and 1300 paragon so far in this season, and I am not on the LB yet. So, that is almost 8 hrs per day since season start.

But I don’t play to get on the LB. I just play to have fun with friends, and help new players in the powerleveling communities.

If you want to be on the LB, realize that you have to be better than everyone else who plays the game, other than the top 999.

So you have to play more, and be better at the game than about 99% or more of all players

Well, I guess you could be on The LB if you actually tried
thanks

Yes, you can get on the leaderboard if you are determined to. You have to remember though that tons of the top people on the leaderboards spend hours and hours and hours just grinding for one item, then they do the same for next item.
Quite a few also use bots to farm the materials needed to reforge legendaries in the cube so they can do this while working and sleeping.
You also have your players who are naturally better at the game play and mechanics, those are the ones you typically see with a lot less paragons yet high on the leaderboards.
If your determined to get on it, you will. Best bet is to use one character though and have different builds to speed farm keys/materials and another for pushing. This way the RNG has a better chance for your ancient items to be what you need.

Day 1, and then play every day, or as much as you can.
