D3 is such a great game , it tried to extend the endgame , added seasons to keep things interesting , it evolved from when it 1st launch to today .
all with a limited activision budget(we all know they were given the smallest budget ever over the years)
It has its faults , dont get me wrong on that , but overall , HS and d3 are the 2 games that actually made blizzard care about and do community wanted changes …
Then im wondering , why cant this be true for wow or overwatch or d2r or even d4 …
I can’t speak for WoW and Overwatch, but for D2R, I think it was the D2 purists’ fault that the D2R team has to tread carefully when it comes to D2R changes.
In D3, most D3 players are open to changes, so the team can freely change whatever they wanted without worrying much about the fan’s backlash.
Is it though? The only real complaining I eve see after changes are about balancing or people complaining that their OP builds aren’t OP any more. Rarely do I see the changes themselves crucified.
It wasn’t directed at you, but sayeing there has never been any complain is a bit of over exegaration. While over all D3 fans welcome changes whit an open mind, and more gladly, there’s always some one who picks on something. And if my memory szerves me right, Rathma changes were not so welcome by the bigger audience.
D2 fans are a nother story. There are crazy people, who think the game was done whit patch 1.13. In reality it was abandoned, now it’s live. New balace change is comeing, and the majority likes it. Even old pharts. But yes sadly those mentaly chalanged who advocate against change, are the loudest. Sadly for them the patch is comeing no matter what, so i’m happy.
I love it, the flexibility, the depth and ability to convey extremely complex idea’s and philosophies while still being a rock solid technical and engineering language.
That said, English doesn’t follow its own rules often times, the ‘rules’ can be extremely vague or nonsensical and many words change their meaning based on minor inflections in the way they’re said.
Did you know there are something like 70 different uses/meanings for the word ‘run’?
Did you know an American institute ranks languages based on how hard to learn them? They group them from 1 the easyest, to 5 the hardest. We’re in rank 4, but separated whit 6 other languages, whit Finnish and Vietnamese.
So while English is some times wonky, don’t get me started on Hungarian.
Pretty sure that’s true for most languages. Hell, plenty of words in my native tongue that spell and sound exactly alike so you need the context for the actual meaning.
