The new damage reduction from the set only applies when the exploding palm is applied with generators.
Madstone makes it so its seven sided strikes that applies the exploding palm instead, but in this case the damage reduction bonus isn’t applied.

Yes i tested with different items and different mobs.
This must be fixed ASAP Please… It ruins any speed build with it as you just die never having the mitigation buff. And now you have to manually apply anyway and drop any speed items that would help the speed build cause you don’t get the mitigation. So we back to spirit guards being mandatory. Which means no nems option.
