OP, if you don’t like trading, don’t do it in D4. It’s a quintessential part of the series for many. Say you’re a sorc and you find a godly Barbarian item. What are you going to do, salvage it? A real hero would save it for her barbarian friend, or trade it to someone other barbarian who could use it instead of having the blacksmith salvage it.
It actually makes complete sense in the Diablo universe. It’s also what the heroes would do in reality
