Wow you pwned that dude with FACTS!!!
strange…I personally have never been kicked once but I can understand your frustration…
Is it possible you’re commenting on their lack of speed for completing their own act and you’re triggering them? idk I’m just trying to think why someone would kick you for doing all the work
WOW. I rarely see kick requests in the qames I’m in. And they are always for players that are AFK. That is wrong to kick someone who is contributing even if they may not be as fast as others.
and that’s why I never do pub and never will.
Do you not have friends you can do bounties with or play with instead of pub?
I have played almost every season (I missed 2 due to a vacation and that one season with no new rewards) and did whatever was required to get every reward offered, which was conqueror early on, guardian later when it was changed, and have never been kicked from a group.
Early on I usually had about a 1000 paragons when I finished and now I usually finish with 500-600 paragons in a season which takes about a week tops for me. I dont think those are high levels of paragons, in fact I would say I typically play within the range the majority of people play at in the first week or two. In my time of puggin I can honestly say that people very VERY rarely talk in public bounties except when someone screws up, and even then usually no one says anything. Such as hey go to a different act/bounty im here or when someone is afk for too long in town.
As to kicking someone if they are dying alot, I wouldnt do it. If someone is dying too much, thats on them, att least they are trying instead of afking. Yeah it makes the bounty take longer but I look at it that they arent having fun dying so why would I cause them more grief by complaining about it or trying to kick them. I have never seen anyone get kicked for dying/trying. The kicks I see are almost always for afking. Hell, I dont even vote to kick the players that do all the bosses first even tho it annoys the crap out of me. Imo, anyone that does that is selfish and not trying to help the group, they are cherry picking the easiest bounties instead of doing a full act like everyone else.
In closing, I keep seeing people talk of Bullies in game but in all the time ive dumped into this game, ive never run into one much less at such a frequency that a post had to be made about it.
P.S. Ive seen both sides of the debate posted here when it comes to goblins. Personally I only stop for Goblin shrines. I wont stop to kill any goblin except Blood Ones and no one has ever complained about it. I wont complain when they do the same but I will get miffed if someone doesnt shout out a goblin shrine (but I will let it slide if they say oops I didnt notice it was one when I clicked it). The other exception is Greed’s Lair. I will stop and announce that and try to give people like up to a minute to get to me to do it. Sad part is, I see people teleport to me and then go in and start while im still outside. Poor form!
Oh, what the heck. I’ll risk another squelch. My last post was taken down and I was censored for 4 days. Haha. I know I was a bit harsh, but what I said was right. If I was wrong, then the post would still be there and players would have shredded it to bits, etc., etc., bla, bla bla.
Anyway, I am surprised that this is still going on. I know I shouldn’t, with the current social climate these days, but I am. It’s mind boggling that this is tolerated and even celebrated.
Also, with cases like these, there is usually a lot more than what the so called ‘victim’ is saying. Time goes by and you realized that he is the boy that cried wolf, in a way, and you got bamboozled into “there there” mode.
Not saying that there are not ‘jerks’ in D3, of course there are, they are every where. Also, there are people that can’t seem to understand that what they are doing is wrong and/or annoying. I wouldn’t doubt it if he joined in on another player’s bounty vs doing a different different one. Or he started doing a bounty in an act that was already started by another player, but there was an act that was untouched by anyone, usually act 5. When (not even an if) someone says something or does something, then they are the enemy.
I have played D3 a long time* and I have never been kicked out of a game for what he described. If anything, I get a friends request and we continue grinding out bounties or farm keys in rifts. Usually, I end of getting carried in high GRs to get better loot and higher level gems.
*for those that want to jump in and say “since season 19 isn.t a long time.” Yeah, that is true. However, this isn’t my first account, it’s my second. I couldn’t remember my first one, so I bought a new one. Yup more money for them, save for no Necromancer. I decided this is Barbarian only.
whilst there are 2 sides to a story, victim blaming is NEVER cool mate.
A bit of patience and kindness goes a long way. It seems the D3 groups are incapable of this.
Defining the OP as a victim assumes that their version of the story is 100% true.
That’s like just listening to prosecution witnesses and assuming the accused is guilty.
Theese kind of post, makes me sing to myself, from P.O.D. - Youth of the Nation:
“…Maybe this kid was reaching out for love
Or maybe for a moment
He forgot who he was
Or maybe this kid just wanted to be hugged
Whatever it was
I know it’s because
We are, we are, the youth of the nation…”
Please try to make yourself a better world, without hurting anyone! Peace
I agree, there are two sides, that is my point. There is the WHOLE truth and there is the EDITED truth. Remember, it’s the truth, the WHOLE truth, and nothing but the truth. Anything else is a form of a lie. Yes, I also agree, that a BIT of patience and kindness goes a long way, a BIT! However, beware of being fooled.
As far as D3 groups go, bounty runs are done as fast as possible. If someone even appears to be fooling around or slowing down the bounty run, they get booted. Maybe that is mean or rude, but they don’t want to deal with that type of player or if it is a bot. I am not excusing any foul behavior in any way, just explaining how it is.
I’ll stop there, seems other people have already spoken to you and by the looks of it the green post blasted you into orbit.
and marking them as guilty does exactly the same…
Truth is just a facade. It is open to personal interpretation - One man’s truth is another man’s falseness.
MissCheetah? Nothing but a Blizzard shill mate. Of course she’ll defend anything Blizzard does…
He isn’t call people names here he is talking about people in the game. Plus I have to agree with him too. I have 2 accounts and been here from day 1. After the ROS add-on the game has gone downhill with people he is talking about.
I have been too kick from bounties pointing out that we have 2 people in the same act and the next thing I’m out. So I just don’t say any thing any more just do my thing let thing be.
I took hiatus maybe 5-7 seasons ago and stayed mostly solo.
I don’t have a problem being kicked since I usually have acceptable paragons as well as playing S class builds.
My issue was when I got a group to do 140-150’s, someone had beef with another and refused to play with X. There were a few contributing factors here. Small end game community(not so much now) and lack of faith in the dev’s. The continued tone-deaf rock-for-brains that have control over this game are the problem.
I don’t think the fault lies with the players, there’s too many game difficulty’s and lack group settings, ex groups for gr 100 and below, and gr 110 and above. We continue to promote threads with viable changes and continue to receive nothing back.
Look at Etched Sigil change. Wizard has been nerfed many times, has been the worst class for many seasons, and this change is just spitting in our faces as every viable build left requires ‘‘channeling’’. Now all they’ve done is make the worst class in the game a very bad lag magnet. Incompetence at it’s finest.
My suggestion would be to use resources such as diablofans, icyveins, and make your characters reflect that you are knowledgeable and have understanding for what builds work. Ex, have 2-3 support classes, have a build meant for speeding on t16 etc.
Collect all caches as soon as possible, at least you won’t be kicked empty-handed. In my experience, most often players get kicked if they are leeching. Very rarely have we kicked a low paragon player who is doing their best (unless they just can’t handle t16, but those guys usually quit on their own). Must have been a bad streak for you, I wish you better luck in those pubs!
To everyone saying go to a bounty that no one is doing, I assume you mean act. The real point is it doesn’t matter. There are 25 to do and it doesn’t matter what area or order they get done in. The end result is the same. You get kicked cause people feel slighted cause it’s human nature cause you chose to do something in a way they percieved as wrong game play. I could care less if someone jumps in my act and does a bounty. I only kick people when they are in town while I have completed a full act and they have done nothing or maybe 1 bounty in the time I do 5, or they are afk.

I assume you mean act.
No, they mean the same bounty. If someone is going to do a cursed chest, don’t join to do that same chest. If you’re in the same act and do a different one, like clearing the Guild Hideout, fine (assuming you have finished your own act first and there isn’t an open Act that hasn’t been started yet, with 5 bounties to do).
it is what I’m always trying to say to myself. slowing down your efficiency is hard but probably the right thing to do if you’re joining public games and dont wanna freak out about slackers every other game.
I’ve run hundreds of public split bounties on season and non season in the last month. i’ve never been kicked, even at 800 paragon in split t16.
I have kicked many other players for sitting in town for more than 3 minutes, usually only noticing them when i’m waiting a full 60 seconds to run a boss encounter. aside from that, i have never seen anyone kicked for any other reason. even if they die a lot or join in on a bounty with me or another player. I’m not going to say it doesn’t happen, but i’m pretty sure you’re not telling us the full story.
