Hi, is farming templar quest still best way to farm reusable parts? Do you have any other tips and tricks to farm any of the trio reusable parts, arcane dusts or veiled crystals?
Here’s some places/methods to acquire materials:
Reusable Parts
Act 5 Battlefields of Eternity: Armor racks scattered throughout the area. Alternative map: Nephalem Rift using the Battlefields of Eternity map.
Act 1 Halls of Agony (all levels): Weapon racks scattered throughout the area. Alternative map: Any nephalem rift using the Halls of Agony map.
Arcane Dust
Just pick up every blue you come across and salvage. Nothing special here.
Veiled Crystals
Farm boss bounties. Butcher, Rakanoth, Skeleton King, Zoltun Kulle, Magdha, Azmodan, Ghom are the fastest. The boss’ hoarde (chest) drops roughly four rares items. Also drops gems once you’ve reached LV 18 or higher. Best way to farm gems early on or when in dire need of more gems. Couple this method with either the Broken Crown equipped or extracted to Kanai’s Cube and activated there for more gems.
Otherwise, just pick up rares and salvage.
Because reusable parts are the most plentiful relative to others, what you may wish to do is farm a ton of those and save some rare items (do not salvage!). You can then open Kanai’s Cube and cycle to the Convert Reusable Parts recipe, click Fill, and right click a rare item in your inventory to put it into the cube, then click Transmute. This converts 100 Reusable Parts into 100 Veiled Crystals. It is by far more efficient to get veiled crystals this way because when salvaging white items you get several reusable parts whereas salvaging a rare item only gets one veiled crystal at a time.
By using this recipe in Kanai’s Cube, you can gather reusable parts at a prodigious rate and then convert to veiled crystals far faster than you could get the same amount of veiled crystals by salvaging alone.
Again, for the arcane dusts, just salvage all the blues you pick up. Those give more than one dust per salvage and are worth salvaging. You can, if you are super low on arcane dusts, use the recipe for converting reusable parts into arcane dust by simply inserting a blue item into the cube during the recipe instead of a rare item.
Note: This assumes you have the Reaper of Souls expansion and have unlocked Adventure Mode. Otherwise, farm item racks in Halls of Agony and Cathedral in Act 1 for reusable parts, and simply salvage everything else you find.
As cancerous as it is, bounties is most efficient at ALL crafting mats.
Otherwise just spam high volume fast efficient NR/GR.
Pick up from acts and various places is not multitasking, the % gain in slight more white returns < paragon/blood shard/DB loss.
Just do bounties, it’s the fastest way for me.
