The first time finish GR 70 did not get Primal droppred

As I mentioned, I just finished two GR solo as 50 and 70 respectively with newly created account on 17th Nov 2019. However, did not get the primal dropped as the reward.

I can only think of one thing: As this is an alter, I use my main finished all rifts. Just now, I get this character finished one normal rift game and again beat GR70. However, still did not have primal dropped. Does this mean I can never get a primal on this account?

Please look into this, thanks.

Not a bug. Please research before posting. Guaranteed primal is season only.

TimberWolf is right. Guaranteed primal is the reward of a seasonal achievement. Try again in S19.

TimberWolf and Maskraider are correct.

You will know when you unlock Primal drops with a Seasonal Character because:

  1. You will earn the Seasonal Achievement: The Primal Soul-o1 Achievement.
  2. The Rift Guardian will drop a guaranteed Primal item the first time you successfully complete a Greater Rift Level 70 Solo.

You can confirm that you’ve unlocked Primal items, on non-Season or Seasonal, by checking your Blood Shard cap. If your cap is 1200 or greater, then you’ve unlocked Primal items for all your Characters in that Game Mode. (I believe Normal and Hardcore are separate, although I don’t remember and I’m not in-game at the moment).

Yes, HC and SC are separated, the name of HC achievement is different. I’m not bother to lookup its name here.

Mine are the same on the Americas Region in English.

Seems both screens are SC achievement. Note their completion date. Did you completed HC and SC on the same date? I didn’t.
A bug?

Hi - there are no specific HC achievements for “Greater Rifts” in seasons… only Conquests. It would be nice if there were some… but that’s a different story.

I hadn’t noticed that. And no… I didn’t complete that HC Achievement on the same day as the SC Achievement.

I do remember getting The Primal Soul-o Achievement when I completed my first Hardcore Greater Rift 70 Solo though. I remember because four things I noticed was:

  1. The Primal Soul-o Toast Window popup. (Can’t really miss that – right in your face :stuck_out_tongue: ).
  2. The The Primal Soul-o Achievement in the Chat Window.
  3. The Primal icon on the mini-Map.
  4. And the red beam in the View Screen.

It was exactly the same notifications I received when I completed it on Normal. I’ll try to screen capture it in Season 19, if I have the energy to play both Modes. (Just to satisfy my own curiosity. You’ve got me thinking now. :thinking:)
