Congrats! I got it too earlier today. The first primal drop needed to get enough ashes was a Magistrate wizard hat, important for Typhon’s, so I couldn’t bring myself to sacrifice it. A good deal of GRs later another primal dropped. It was a Winter Flurry, also needed for Typhon’s! Sadly/luckily it had poor affixes, so it got salvaged to unlock the Altar.

Grats. I’ve still got a ways to go, but I’m in no hurry. Sitting on needing an ancient Puzzle Ring at the moment.

I tried to get one by reforging. Bounty mats are easy to get but I ran out of souls pretty fast - and you don’t have an abundance of them in early season. So I made an ancient by recipe eleven in the cube. This requires some luck with primal drops of course.

I haven’t even found a crappy Dawn, yet. But again, like DonMartin above, I am in no hurry. Debating atm whether to go out and mow the yard or run some rifts.
Speaking of Puzzle Rings, I was drowning in them myself. I’m not joking, they were dropping left and right for me. In relatively short time I ended up having a whole bunch of them, several were even ancient.
RNG is a fickle thing.

5x crappy Dawn here. 0x decent/good Dawn though.
I got my Haunted Visions yesterday which has allowed me to jump to Torment XVI. However I haven’t gotten any Primals yet because I have not ran a high enough GR. Working on the lower altar requirements but I am one step from getting the perma-Furnace ability.

I might. I’m going to give it some time to drop while I farm GRs and the Frost Cavern for the gibbering goboldy guk.
Good to know that option is there if I need it.
I have yet to include Dawn in any build. You don’t really need it this season. Get a few CDR rolls and then pop that potion till you get Empowered or Defense.
I’m a gibbering gemstoine and 3 primals away from finishing. Got the bloodshard cap already in place, got all the other pieces of the staff.
I haven’t made it that far down the Altar yet, thank you very much. Not in any great hurry, either.
I need 1 more primal to unlock the final potion. All otber nodes are unlocked.
