Stuck on “Connecting to a Blizzard server…”

I reinstalled Diablo III yesterday (2022/06/05), but I am unable to play it. The game is stuck on the first step of the authentication that says “Connecting to a Blizzard server…”

I tried scanning & repairing, connecting with and without a VPN, manually logging in, and switching regions, but none of this helped.

Tried it just now… D3 launched ok and I was able to start a new game.

Americas region.
