Incorrect. It started around October 16th. It is now December 8th. That is less than 2 months.

the obvious simple fix of unmuting people is just to easy…

Blizzard has given you an answer on that.

While it is theoretically possible for us to unmute players which might work around this, we’re not in the practice of reversing these kinds of account actions for this sort of reason. Regardless of this unexpected behavior, the accounts which have been muted were muted for a reason. If you have an extended duration suspension, a user of your account must have broken our terms of use several times. As such, the account actions will stand until they expire

Yes, the post in question was moved to a stand alone post because it was a different issue. This is the post and replies that were moved.

they also pulled this ‘bug’ on some peoples AFK accounts. One of my friends that I actually played D3 with during release mysteriously lost his D3 purchase on his account after not logging in for 2 years. I’m guessing nobody will take Blizz to court over $60 so they will essentially rob a calculated amount of people, see what happens, and continue.

However, I’m going to be blunt here. A lot of you are clearly demonstrating why it is that you were silenced in game in the first place and targeting fellow players, and this is not okay.

This toxic chatter in this thread needs to stop immediately. Your fellow players do not need to be the targets of your ire. If you have nothing constructive to add to the thread, cease posting. Failure to comply will result in forum suspensions being handed out to match your in game silences.
