Thanks,

Absolutely agree I made a thread ablut this as well. Be so much better to be able to stack gems especially. I just threw low runes out and gems until i played mods where u can stack em or currency tab. Makes gems actually useful
Yah, I’m with you on the stacking. I’d even give up a stash tab in favor of stacking all my runes up to 100, or 10 even.
It would be interesting to code I’m sure, as you need to make sure stacks cant enter the Cube and mess up recipes.
Are keys, bolts, and arrows the only items in the game that stack?
Stacking runes and gems would be a wonderful change, however there must be zero methods of item duplication now and into the far future.
Would be the best thing that could happen, would also solve a lot of stash problems
Stop try to ruin everything.
What’s next? Rift portals…
Stackable can stick to Diablo 3 and Diablo 4.
stacking would be a much welcomed QOL change that would not change the gameplay experience. more time hacking and slashing and less time playing tetris is good for the game
I want to stack axes, helms, swords, everything really. That way, you only need enough storage to hold 1 of each item, and then all others stack on top.
Good luck finding the one you want to take back out, though. Oh wait, loot filter.
How would staking gem/runes ruin everything?
Right now in D2, you can make a bunch of mule characters to hold runes and gems. Stacking would not ruin anything (and certainly not your hyperbole of everything), but would be a significant quality of life improvement.
ruin what? jesus christ you are insufferable.
Stop abusing the name of Jesus Christ.
If people are concern about stacking… maybe they dont want to stack on inventory… dunno why that could destroy something but…well, fine I guess…
But let them be stacked at least in stash tabs.
Agreed 100%. I don’t see how fun it is to have half or more of your stash space wasted on runes, gems, or potions. Stacking would be a great QoL while still feel true to the original experience, just… more convenient.
However, if you want to keep the original feel, potions should of course not stack on your belt (only when in inventory or stash).
A special stash tab for runes/gems/potions like the path of diablo mod added would be great
Keys stack, bolts and arrows stack. It’s not an entirely new concept for the game.
Loot filter is not a concept for inventory management (I.e. diablo 3 search functionality). Loot filter concept is for picking up items (I.e. never seeing bolts or arrows on the floor).
Stacking wouldnt apply to weapons and armor because those items can have different attributes. Ive never played a game that lets you stack armor and weapons. It’s mostly just consumes that get stacked.
Hey… Psst… Yeah, you… Come over here…
opens trench coat, revealing dozens of duped key rings hanging on the inside
Interested?
No?
reaches in pocket, pulls out a 10 meter stack of Ber runes Mary Poppins style

This sounds reasonable!

You have to be a giant to make room for this in your pocket.
I’m generally against most changes. Having said that, I’m trying to find a scenario where stackable runes & gems would be detrimental to the D2 experience, but I confess I am struggling.
The argument against this must be an online mode taboo, which is likely why I’m struggling. Sometimes it’s nice to be able to stick your singleplayer head in the sand and avoid the politics.
Stacking of low runes would be nice, maybe up to like UM or PUL.
