Updated it again. I’m probably done with PTR for now. Normally I play every day of PTR, take days off etc.
But I’m just not feeling it.

Well, considering you’re 2228 in non-season, I’m guessing you recently started with D3 if paragon has been your main motivator to play. With that in mind, were you in the leaderboards? If you weren’t, luck (RNG) does not play a factor for you, you can open a GR and play it.
I’m currently top 20 LoD sader on EU, last I checked anyways.
I usually only really get playtime in on PTR.
But nice try.
This account has been here for error 37

I’ve been here for ages. I skipped a few, since I didn’t feel like starting over was fun when there was no seasonal mechanic.
Quite interesting to see how low the Crusader clears are. Makes me wonder if there’s so much fishing as you are defending.
Yeah, and obviously paragon farming has NOT been your main goal, but now it’s demotivating you?
Yeah. It is. I played to have fun with friends. I don’t really try or care for leaderboards. Paragon leveling is a nice “you spent 200 hours and got no new items, but here have some mainstat” pity reward.
SSF should be cap, non-ssf season should have no cap. Keeps things simple.
Update 4 posted. I Powerleveled a bunch of people, hopefully they’ll reach the cap and realize there’s nothing more to grind for after that.
With the P800 cap for season, they should have added iLVL 71, 72, 73, 74 and 75 items (Paragon 800 required to drop/equip) thus having a deeper post-cap chase to keep players interested. You would see folks farming for their NS toons as well…
For the love of good, no. So instead of having 3 tiers of every piece of gear we would now have 18? Yep, cranking the RNG up to ludicrous I really don’t see being the answer to anything really.
Ethereals & sanctified didn’t carry into NS. LV 71+ items probably wouldn’t either. Unless paragon change also persists.
4503 GR keys which I farmed in season 28 really evens out that RNG. I use the keys in non-season for pushing once the season rolls over. I think 4000 keys is called effort.
Things that require skill: Knowing that the build your running for 9:55 is a better build than the build of the guy that ran the same GR in 14:08.
The difference between Arachyr and Mundu is around 6 GRs. I know this because I’ve spent thousands of keys pushing both.
The current season clear is for LoN crusader is 137. And unless you group, you have to clear your highest level one GR at a time.
In PTR I’m testing Mundu to see how much the paragon distribution affects clear times. I had to clear from 115 to 124 one GR clear at a time. Some people find that kind of effort challenging.
I certainly find it more challenging than speed running 2 minute GRs for paragon.
That’s a guess though, not fact. The difference in time can be wholly explained by the quality of said rift if that’s your only source of information.
Maybe the difference is the skill and not just luck to tell the difference between a 9:55 rift and a 14:08 rift.
You really can’t tell by the 1st person to clear a GR because they got to a particular paragon level before everyone else.
What I find interesting is that being first to a paragon level doesn’t mean much until people catch up to their paragon. Paragon climbers are hoping no one catches up. And the leaderboard players wants everyone to get there as quickly as possible to see how they’re really doing.
It’s been 3 days and people are just starting to move up the leaderboards. WD Arachyr went 133 to 140. Mundu WD went from 114 to 124.
LoN bomb is at 137 now.
It could be, but you have nothing to base the argument on either way if that’s your only information.
Thanks for your feedback. I don’t care about leaderboards. Once again, I don’t care if you remove uncapped from leaderboards, just let me farm my gons in peace. You can go do your competition about who’s more good at stutter stepping and GR fishing in whatever competition mode you want.
Personally, I find it more fun to farm my paragons while pushing my build. I don’t speedfarm GR’s, because I’m not worried about leaderboards, I’m worried about having fun. That’s all I want to do.
You can farm your 'gons as much as you like. You still get XP. Just not powercreep like the seasons before.
But then again, very few people play seasons without that easy power boost.
Okay, I apologize, clearly I should have defined my sentence better.
Just let me farm my paragons after 800 and apply them to my mainstat and vitality in peace.
Here’s an interesting question, what if the new code for the cap and the paragon distribution are tied and they can’t freely uncap just mainstat and vitality.
Would you choose:
1 - Paragon cap with 200 max stat
2 - The current system - unlimited mainstat and vit with a 50 max cap
I’m not sure what you’re asking.
1 is what? 200 max in mainstat? No thanks. Not interested in caps.
2 Current system of PTR?
If I’m understanding what you’re asking.
I don’t mind that we can spend 200 points into a single stat, it gives us more freedom and makes more builds viable, as long as vitality and mainstat is uncapped.
What if their code only allows you to chose between the current PTR system or the non-season system (50 pt max) but they can’t do both.
Which would you prefer for seasons?
