Sick Of Visions - Am I The Only One?

It’s in Europe, nothing suspicious

are you Berronax? I don’t know everyone’s alt accounts lmao, i thought that’s who I was replying to, or are you saying that’s the dude in question?

Ahh it is them! TY!

Dude… like… sunshine you know? It’s a thing? Fresh air? Roses n what not? (i’m teasing)

But not about your crazy masochistic desire to play HC in an online environment. No no no. D2 (og) cured me of that (stupid pop up thunderstorms) but yeah, I think a lil bit of perma burn is settling in for you. It happens to me to, where an annoying lil thing cascades over a decade’s worth of gripes and all of a sudden a pebble has become a mountain.

I’m not and I don’t post from alt accounts
When you click on view profile (Berronax) it says unavailable but gives the option to try Asia or Europe.

Visions are great for us solo players. Even if the cache spawns on the first floor. That’s 20 bounty mats in a couple of seconds. I never had a team to run bounties efficiently, just joined pub games with 3 random players. Many times you come across slow or undergeared characters for T16 or just bots and leeches who contribute zero to the team. And then there is always someone who takes 50 seconds to reject a boss fight. I don’t overdose on visions, however, cause I’ll run out of forgotten souls if I use all my reforges right now. I don’t miss having to wait for Leoric to get off his throne or seeing Belial for the thousandth time mumbling the same thing throughout his 3 phases just to get oneshotted.

When you click on someone’s name / avatar on the US forums and choose View Profile, by default, it will attempt to show you the US armoury page for that account. For someone that doesn’t play on the US servers, it’ll give a page showing no heroes found. The trick here is a quick look at the URL for the profile page, namely the Berronax-2455 portion of it, which corresponds to their Battlenet ID. The first digit of the numerical portion of a Battlenet ID indicates the home region for the account. A 1 indicates a US account, a 2 indicates an EU account. It’s easy to check the three regions for someone’s heroes, just by changing the two-letter country code in the profile URLs, i.e. EU = Europe, US = Americas, KR = Asia. For example…

EU - https://eu.diablo3.blizzard.com/en-gb/profile/Meteorblade-2266/career
US - https://us.diablo3.blizzard.com/en-gb/profile/Meteorblade-2266/career
Asia - https://kr.diablo3.blizzard.com/en-gb/profile/Meteorblade-2266/career

It’s why some of us have something like this in our non-home regions…

Yeah would link it but Jazz has already

As for how many bounties i’ve done: http s://imgur .com/a/AR3DnQ5

Yeah fair enough for anyone sick of bounties this’ll be a breath of fresh air, i get that, i personally always found bounties pretyt obnoxious to run as well, especially doing them solo

A couple of my favourite builds still use a few items from bounty caches so they aren’t completely eliminated from needing to be done i guess

But again it’s not that i miss doing bounties, i just find visions to be a little obnoxious to run due to how often i need to teleport back to town to ID/Salvage the truck load of legendaries it gives, it makes me burn out a lot faster than running bounties or rifts ever did, but from what i’ve seen that’s just me.

I’d like visions more if they just gave materials, or only gave legendaries at the last level but maybe with a higher chance for ancient, or another idea would be to keep how juicy they are or even increase it, but make them rarer

But again it seems to be only me that wants something like that, and the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, but i do think that visions being as good as they are eliminates 2 game modes (bounties and rifts) almost entirely and to me that just doesn’t seem healthy for the game

I also held that position with story mode for a long time, thinking it’d be good to have a reason to do it outside of that 1 conquest, but that ship has sailed.

But yeah its the gameplay of visions being imo more repetitive than rifts (like its always those same few maps with the exact same layout) combined with the need to teleport back to town and ID taking up more time than you spend actually fighting that burns me out so fast, but again that’s a me issue

What isn’t a me issue though is the desire for a return portal at the end of the vision, to take you back to where you entered from.

Yeah i tend to always remember that, what annoys me with the lack of a return portal, is when you’re like half way towards a bounty objective and the portal spawns, and either way its doubling your journey most times because you have to either take the portal now, then teleport back to that zone and run all the way, or you do the bounty then go back for it, which is again really obnoxious

I mean it’s the same thing with spawned vaults tbh, but those were so few and far between it didn’t feel like as big of an issue, or tbh regular vaults were so meh most people skipped them anyway

Pff, real life is the worst video game… crap graphics, everything is P2W, ontop of having giant subscription fees, and the HC mode is too brutal even for my taste, dying once means the game uninstalls!

Yeah could be… but on the other hand i think there’s genuine improvements that could be made to visions that would eliminate them being an issue for me, the return portal would just make them perfect, i mean i’d still be a bit annoyed at the amount of times i gotta return to town to make inventory room, but that gripe is honestly minor compared to the issue of returning to where i was after doing a vision

I also don’t think this is a major change that is not possible due to the game being in “maintenance mode” now like a lot of people bring up whenever anyone suggests any change since that announcement

Lmao i might have to do this

I totally get this. I’ve wrestled with ideas about id/salvage on the fly but that would make Haedrig really only visited for crafting, and since most crafting done is short/situational at best, poor Haedrig gonna be out of a job if we did that.

Avarice bands, RoRG’s, cpl other items… these are usually the only reason why I do bounties over and over but once you get the items… visions takes care of me after that.

Personally I’m glad they removed the campaign on start of season requirement. After so many years of it being the only way to play the game… I very much love skipping it. That being said however, I find myself sometimes missing some of the flavor events/POIs that you can only get in Campaign sometimes. I recently just did a Campaign playthrough just for the nostalgic feelsgood just for this reason.

I actually like this aspect however. Knowing instantly when I zone in/zone to a new floor I know exactly where I need to go and where to expect enemies… If it’s a boss one and I’ve lucked out and all three are right in the foyer along with next zone spawn… I know I don’t need to traverse any more of that particular map. Just kill->door->repeat.
Some longer floors would be appreciated however, I agree. It’s a tough balance between quick n easy and being too side-questy/distracting issue methinks.

As for the return portal thing, I’m squarely in your camp. I’m sure someone else can explain why it’s too much of an issue to crank out but if we look back to campaign and how Cain/Aludra etc, it seems like they can pop portals open willy nilly so I’m just not sure why they couldn’t do a loop back to first floor/mapzone you entered at as part of the chest opening/goblin slaying at the end to me.

ngl straight up killed me with this lmao

100% agree. This sounds like an afternoon project at most as far as solutions go. I don’t see how it could detract majorly from any other projects or be a business burden to accomplish.

Anyway. Hope you get through the annoyance factor and back to enjoyment asap!

That’s not a bad idea at all. I would prefer that too. Although some goblin packs compensate for materials from time to time.

Although I have to disagree that normal rifts are now obsolete. If I use a key farming build I can average 100 keys per hour. And I am actually taking the 30 second timer to close the rift into account. I am not resetting the game, so you can do it faster probably. In visions I cannot get that many keys. Also, the Cain’s set doesn’t seem to work that good in vision. It’s always 1 keystone per boss for me. Either that or really bad luck…

My brain has registered visions as “solo bounties”. The other stuff that you find inside (goblins, loot, etc.) I considered them as an icing on the cake

It must be bad luck. I frequently se extra drops of keystones from rift guardians in Vision (I’ve had two keys drop from the final chest but I don’t know if that is because of the Cain’s set?).
Last evening I had 17 keys from just one Vision with lots of levels and lots of RGs. But that’s extremely rare. Quite often there are very few keys, sometimes just one and sometimes none at all - not even one from the final chest (that’s diabolical)!

Oh, no need to post broken links like that.
If you don’t have Trust Level 3, you can still post them as pre-formatted text like this…

…so that people can just highlight it and paste it into their browser.
Having said that, embedding it for you…
