Just ran the challenge rift… twice after season start and I can’t claim it because there’s nothing showing when I go to town on my main character. I’ve seen this bug up here in the past and restarting the game usually works… But I’ve restarted the game twice my console and ran the challenge of multiple times in the matter what I do I can’t get a seasonal cascheto appear. Can I just not participate in this season and I’m dead in the water in terms of completing my altar rights? This is like a game breaking bug.
Edit: switched to my PS five Pro and had no issues whatsoever… The last few times I’ve had this bug in seasonal play had always been on Xbox. At this point, the game is in maintenance mode so I doubt Blizzard will fix it.
Basically, if you play on Xbox… You’re screwed with regard to the seasonal cache on the first week
I’ve had this happen a couple times when I start the game before the season starts. Turning the xbox off doesn’t work because it doesn’t close the game, when you turn the xbox back on it resumes the game.You have to close the game.
What I do now is make sure the game is closed, then I start the game after the season starts. I’ve been able to claim the cache since I started doing this.
That was the first thing I tried (force closing the game / stopping it from Quick Resume). No dice.
I reached out to Blizzard on X and they said they’ll get someone from the production team to push out a fix.
It doesn’t work after the season starts and you’ve already done the challenge rift. When it happened to me. I started the game before the season started so I could practice the challenge rift. When the season started I made a seasonal character and couldn’t claim the cache. Even after I closed the game and then restarted the game I still couldn’t claim the cache.
It only seems to work if you close the game before the season starts and then wait for the season to start before you start the game. This won’t help you this season, you’ll have to wait till the next challenge rift on monday. In future seasons if you close the game before the season starts and wait for the season to start before you start the game. You should be able to claim the cache.
