Season’s been delayed until the 31st.
I had already planned for 01/24, Blizzard completely lost, it’s impressive how poorly the company is managed.
I, like many others, really should be whiney and complainey at this point but I lack the motivation to do so. Let them fix, what ever they needs fixing. I suspect that they don’t want us to have access to the Darkening of Tristram event with the S-34 theme. The Darkening of Tristram ends on January 31 at 4 p.m, and next season starts at 5pm. Say good bye to free/easy diamonds for the altar.
Did you ever develop a full guide section for WD (No cache, No Necro)?
Yeah.
Diablo 3: Season 34 Pre-Season Practice. Witch Doctor 1-70, No Cache, No Necro in 65 minutes
Bounties for Acts 1 & 2 complete with it. I actually had an HC run going faster prior to this but messed up the Massacre Bonus at Fields of Misery and ended up at 64. (I still completed it, but it was slower.)
That’s the one downside about this strategy. You drop the Massacre, and you’re adding 10+ minutes to your leveling.
I know other people were asking for other classes, but you only have so many attempts. With the discussion with Tinne, trying out things to see if Guardian could be completed faster, with practicing Wizard, which is the class I plan on using this season, I only had so many available fresh starts.
They probably just realized that it started 3 days after the D4 season start, so bump D3 another week without telling anyone. If people get upset, who cares?
Would have been better if they just left S33 dead when then prematurely ended it and started S34 that Friday.
暗黑4赛季跟暗黑3赛季有啥可冲突的??就不玩暗黑4,为何要为它延后??
This is only a speculative estimate:
Blizzard management doesn’t want the start of D3 season and D4 season to be close to each other creating competition between them. They would prefer to have D4 season start with the highest number of players and remain high for as long as possible during the D4 season. If D3’s season is close to D4’s season the thinking is some players will opt to play D3 instead of D4, which will lead to a lower player count in D4.
I have to agree with @Alexismad, maybe it would have been better for them to have left S-33 ended. However, it did give me time to think which classes I want to play in S-34.
@BehindTimes:
I did some runs in non-season and I kept losing my massacre bonus. I also got unlucky with some maps where I encountered leaper + teleporter mobs that body blocked my WD and ate her for lunch lol, that and the ascension bounty in the TotFB. Non-season is just not fun. Altar has change the game so much that it feels like a crippled version of D3 without it and its benefits. Also, no vision pops in Non-Season so there is that gear/gold/mats/massacre bonus disadvantage.
I did this 1 hour story mode conquest many times without even trying, only using infinite dash monk obviously
but i have no idea why do you say “restart”
on my attempts i have always finished entire story mode in 40-50 minutes without fail, with multiple mistakes, monk is just that fast
and really 1 week more waiting??
You want to avoid Visions for the most part. They slow you down. Get your keys and get out.
And yeah, every so often you’ll get a bad set of mobs. That’s actually what happened with my HC run. I got one of those vortex mobs which pulled me in at the wrong time. But, if you’re going after Haedrig’s Gift, you can always start running your bounties then, and by the time you complete them, you should be 70 (assuming you start at Level 65-67).
And yeah, non-season isn’t the greatest place to practice, due to the Altar. That’s one of the reasons I push hard at the end of the season, because that’s the only time you can ever really replicate next season’s start. Like with FoM, that would not have been a valid tactic prior to the altar. Sure, if you want to use Gems of Ease on a full set of gear, you can probably assume that if you can hit Level 68 from Level 58, you’re good to go. But still, there will be some missing intangibles.
I’m talking more about people learning the Conquest. I’ve worked with multiple people in the past to learn this, and I’d say more often than not, I’ll see something like “I realize we’re entering Act 2 at 17 minutes, but if we just get lucky, we can still break the hour!”
Now, are there people that can do that? Of course. But they’re not learning the conquest.
They end up spending 10 hours running the full campaign 3x, and that’s just not a great way to learn.
Perkks of ADHD and running entire campaign more than 10 times over the years i suppose.
And switching the gameplay style to “minimap game” too often also helps.
Its Infinite game changer,
Note that the Infinite Dash Monk comes with a warning for potential epilepsy seizures dashing half a mile per second, its so fun though
ehhh one more week… wonder what are they fixing apart from investors money
Im grim monk btw
I wanna play monk, in season 34 specifically
its going to be a very grim week
Yeah doing vision on normal mode is a loss of exp, but with the altar and vision portal bringing you right next to mobs you can hop between levels to tag a mob to keep the kill streak going, go back and snatch that last item off the floor. I used Haunt-Lingering Spirit once I got it to help with maintaining kill streak because it will auto target and auto attack in a range that can sometimes be off screen. Your vision run on the first WD, netted you 6 or 7 full bags of gear and a DB, which may as well be like 2 bounties worth of materials or more given the amount mats and gold. I didn’t try it yet, but I also considered running through eternal woods at level 1 to snap shot, but I suspect that it may not be worth it. Also, you had very cooperative mobs. Ghosts usually move in range and channel the ranged spell, ghosts in the vision moved directly into your grasp of the dead (I’ve come to delivery your pizza… ahem… exp sir).
The run is doable in a bit more than an hour in non-season, assuming easier bounties, a bit of luck on kill streaks. I’m still debating if I should just zip through 1-70 on necro, grab haedrig’s and then start 2nd class. However, I’m enjoying the challenge of trying to get this run on WD right, but not enough of enjoyment to wish for an extra week delay.
Like I said, I only had a couple shots at this, so I worked with what I had.
The Vision is really what slowed it down though. In normal situations, would have preferred something 4-6 floors deep, but I’ll take it.
As far as trying to do something different, go for it.
The extra week though will make things harder for my seasonal goal, and I’m going to have to reevaluate the best approach now.
Are you kidding? Delayed for another week because of just your crap Lilith Online and it directly after that ruined season ending? And ofc after tristram event to make season start worse.
May be you must delay the Lilith’s season if you so don’t want to overlap seasons?
Hopefully they make mistake by starting the s34 tomorrow. Next week is holiday ffs!!..
TBH, We know that D4 is kinda sxxx.(D3 service has been sxxx also tho) delay them, not us.
I can’t believe the incompetence. I don’t care for D4, I planned the weekend around the new season, now at the 11th hour it is cancelled. Come on people, get professional.
Initially, I wasn’t very happy when they moved the D3 season start to accommodate D4. This is a million dollar company that deals with computer software. I know external communication has ranged from dreadful to outright disgusting, but why is the internal communication so incredibly lacking?
After I got over all of this, I realized if the season started this week, I would miss most of Sunday due to the NFL playoffs. Now, I get to play the whole weekend with no other commitments. TY BLIZZ! for screwing up in a way that actually benefitted me.
I preferred it started on the 24th. I’m most likely going to be working Sunday because my coworkers will be simulating an illness. I know the drill. Missing the super bowl is no biggie to me. If indeed the motivation for the delay is to preference D4 season start and to avoid any collision with D3’s season start then yeah, start D3’s season ASAP. Delaying D3’s season to preference D4’s season start would be yet another reason for me to delay purchasing D4 (and its expansion) even further. No one likes being treated like they are a lesser priority when they’ve spent money on a product or service.
On a side note, can we please get the full official game guide (and its class calculators) added back to the D3 website, Please.
It is a $68B company
