I started this season and it seems like the Savage Frenzy Barb is the strongest in the game? It is really crazy

Hello ! Frenzy barb is unfortunately nowhere near the strongest build in the game, but it is strong, straightforward and fun nonetheless.

if it’s fun then play it. It’s a game.

I may be wrong but the stronger builds for season with sanctified powers seem to be:

LoD Wave of Light Monk

Fist of the Heavens steed Crusader

Shadow Impale Demon Hunter

A strong build is one thing. If it’s not enjoyable in some way it doesn’t matter.

I’m playing Wastes WW barb right now. My necro was Rathma AotD and at a similar gear level prior to my cannibalizing his gear to help me gear up my barb. The necro could blast through GR 110’s at the rate my WW barb can only blast through 90’s. I regret nothing because I’m having WAY more fun with spin-2-win style playing.

Makes me wonder if I shouldn’t attempt to reconstruct an Inarius Bonestorm type build, see if I can’t make it work up to GR90. After over a decade of playing this game, I’m having fun experimenting with things I wouldn’t normally try and the FUN part is what matters most.

I remember the inarius bonestorm using the aura of frailty and the ring that pulls everything in (briggs?) And pain enhancer/gem of toxin/wreath of lightning/mirinae before the procs got nerfed. That was so much fun. I think now it really only works well with pain enhancer and gem of toxin, and I guess Trapped

LoD barb is just fine this season. Probably the most beginner/hardcore beginner friendly build to push highest grifts solo.

I haven’t played barb for at least five years - and was pleasantly surprised by how well balanced, simple and effective that LoD is.

I know this is an unpopular opinion - judging from my experience on EU hardore/softcore ssf, monk Raiment Generator the best build to push 150 SOLO this season. Easy 150 at 1300 para, easy to gear up, easy to play, while LoD WoL at 1300 is a pure and painful glass cannon.

I used this in a previous season (I think the one with the 4 cube slots) just for T16 and it mostly one shots everything there. It’s not for GRs though.

What’s weird is I know LoD Frenzy Thorns is like the ultimate barb build but my non seasonal barb is like, LoD Frenzy but built for crit/crit, lol. No idea what I was thinking but maybe it works okay that way too

barb shmarb… they literally completely overhauled whirlwind and still got it wrong. who would even play a WW barb when all you’re doing is zero damage and spamming Rend. the dev’s are so bad at this game it’s pathetic. it’s like blizzard literally hired them all out of business school and not a single gamer among them. i mean if even one of them had played D2 WW baba then i’m sure they could have figured it out…
