So, a player on PS4 has done a GR130, on day 3, in 5.5 minutes. No seasonal buff this season. No augments. No legendary gems. Missing impale damage on boots, chc on quiver and using physical rune for impale. Can’t see paragon on PS4 as it’s hidden, unlike on PC. I am talking about the #1 ranked (leaving out the modder scum) on the shadows mantle LBs on PS4. No names mentioned.
I know it’s not possible to do this, not legitimately. What say you all?
edit: in comparison, in s25, with the seasonal theme adding a ~ 10 GR boost to base performance levels of the build, and 5 x rank 125 augments, and lgems ~ rank 60, I did a GR123 in 6.5 minutes. And I was rank 1 s6 impale player on SC at the time in s25 btw. And rank 1 in HC, and rank 4 overall for DH HC.
I am guessing that this scum is using save wizard to get 10k paragon points.
This game is screwed on PS4 and switch now. It’s not enough that Blizzard can’t produce a decent seasonal theme for s26, but served us garbage instead.

Yes, I suspect cheating. But the key point here is do other DH players think this clear is actually possible in s26 with a s6 impale DH, without any real gear.
not in 5 minutes, not in s26, not without leg gems.
with the right pylons and density, leg gems, and a flavor of time it could be done with very little time to spare, but still not in s26 unless they had 5k para.
And the answer is no, not without cheating, and the type of cheating you’re referring to can only occur on console, i.e. this is a question about cheating on console, not about Impale DH.
I wanted a consensus on whether my thoughts (person is cheating) was right or not and the only way to ask was to ask other DH players if they thought this was possible to do. Yourself and Bravata have said no, which matches my thoughts. I’d hoped that other DH players would have chimed in for a larger pool of thought, but alas…
I doubt even 5k paragon could do this in s26. No buff to character DPS in s26 means we’re losing around 10 GRs from s25 and s24. Extrapolating that data means that I’d be typically doing a GR113 in 6.5 mins with around 5 rank 125 augments and lgems around rank 60. To clear 17 GRs higher, without augments or lgems at all, would require 8x the damage output, or thereabouts. i.e. not possible in s26. But, I was keen to ask for others views on it.
It doesn’t really matter, Blizzard has done nothing about the cheats on consoles for 10 seasons, they’re not gonna start now. Another death blow to seasonal play on consoles.
I’ve got a nicely geared non-seasonal Impale DH with just under 5K paragon and I certainly can’t do a GR130 with her. Having said that, I fully admit that could entirely be a me problem rather than a DH problem.
I’m surprised, you’re a way above average player skill and knowledge wise imho. I’ve done a GR126 @ p2700 with 2.5 mins to spare, but that was before the s25 shadow set buff (4-5 GR???). I managed a GR137 (probably ~GR127 without the season 25 seasonal buff) @ p2300, but with exceptionally good gear. Cleared GR135 and 136 on first go, fished 5 GRs for my GR137 clear. Had a tardy start and was probably a minute behind the timer 1/3 of the way through the rift, but got an awesome condi pylon with 3 elites and 2 champ packs and some trash which caught me up lol. I tried a GR134 with my NS character and was woeful (fail by a country mile) - that seasonal buff was really nice to the build in s25. And that’s fully augmented, awesome gear @ p2700. Given that NS would be very similar to this season due to no seasonal buff, that is why I questioned the honesty of said GR130 clear in 5.5 minutes.
The odd thing is with this guy’s build, his gear isn’t showing any modded gear. He oddly has perfect emeralds in all of his jewellery, and perhaps he has worked out a way to mod that gem but not have the mod showing when the character is inspected. Or, as I suspect, he’s running 10k paragon. Even then would 10k paragon do a GR130 with the build with no augments/gems in such a quick timeframe. I have no experience with high end high paragon characters, so it is very hard for me to judge how they will performance vs my own p2700 NS SC and HC characters.
The cheating yes. The core question, “is this possible” is best answered by the specialist DH sub forum though. Which is why I posted here. If consoles had dedicated sub-forums for the console ports, then I’d have posted there. I’m not trying to be argumentative like you have previously suggested, I have posted here for a logically reason. Hopefully my explanation sates your desire to understand why.
But you already knew that the character in question is cheating and is modded, so there is nothing to discuss apart from agreeing that the console version is “screwed”.
The PC version of the game is “screwed” by botters in some ways. But at least ban waves do a bit to address the problem… (I’ll have to check my S25 position on the EU leaderboard to see if I have advanced).
After 14 seasons of playing impale and being competetive in it would make you the specialist? I see it as a redundant question as you already knew the answer like jazz said.
No, I didn’t. I cannot see paragon on console. ONLY the character’s gear and skills. I cannot see the follower (skills or gear). PC has much better visibility. I can only guess that he has mega paragon or hidden modded gear.
I’d take botters any day of the week over save wizard, dashboarding and modded gear on consoles. Console has NEVER had a ban wave either, unlike PC. I think I’m ranked #3 atm on SC shadows LBs, but haven’t pushed in like 4 days lol. Tinkering with HC instead.
I’m giving the benefit of the doubt to the player in question, especially since I can’t visually see any modded gear. if the modders have figured out how to mod but hide said mods from visual inspection, that is a real concern.
