Repeated drops with "The game was terminated."

I am trying to play the game of Diablo III. When I play for 5-10 minutes in non-season adventure mode (there is no season right now), it exits to the main menu with the message “The game has been terminated.”

When I try to use the support website and select the game that is Diablo III (3), and describe this problem, the system gives me answers relating only to games that are not Diablo 3.

I want to know why my Diablo III games keep being “terminated.” I want to know how to resolve the issue so that I can play Diablo III. There is no error code displayed with the message.

I’m getting the same, done for today until they figure this out.

Same. I was in a crypt and all of a sudden game stops and disconnects. And takes me to the login screen within D3? Plus I get a error code 316009… weird.

There were issues affecting authentication issues earler today; although Blizzard says that the issues have been resolved, there might be lingering effects.

If you’re referring to the “Get Help” section… yeah, the AI there is usually unsuitable… It’s best to use the link under the description box and use categories instead.

Unfortunately, Blizzard Support no longer provide assistance for connection related issues or crashes. The issue you described appears to be connection related… this Support article might help:

There is no information on that error code in the online Support KnowledgeBase.

The issue has also been reported on X:

That user reported that the issues seem to have fixed themselves…

Heya,

As always, appreciate your diligence in monitoring these forums, have had this issue repeat every 10-15 minutes since yesterday, and just had it happen again, hope they get this fixed before Friday.

Take care.

Had the same problem all afternoon.

Now I can’t login.

395002, 316009, 300002 Error Codes.

Same here. Happened 3 or 4 times today. How is a game this old this unreliable? This is completely unacceptable.

I had the same issue. “The game was terminated” and then experience, paragon level, rooted items were all rolled back, except for the greater lift stones (greater lift stone remained used)

I too noticed my gear was rolled back after every termination. Sort of freaked me out!

Hello, I have had the same issue as well. IU have lost several legendary items because of the game not saving progress when it terminates.

Yeah, I’ve been having this issue since yesterday and it’s still happening.
I play for 10-15, then it disconnects and I lose all the progress I just made.
It’s kind of maddening, tbh.

Since yesterday for me too.

Decided to try it myself. I already moved all my gear from Season 37. So, Zoey, my Season Rebirth is naked. I then selected my non-Season, Kit, to see if Zoey left her better gear.

While I had Kit in-game, comparing gear about 10 minutes in, I was kicked to the Menu with this message:

I clicked okay and then tried to restart my game. I was placed in a Queue, which lasted a couple of minutes. Not “7 seconds”.

When the Queue finally expired I was greeted with this message:

I tried one more time only to be exposed to the exact same loop. This time without ever getting into the game. I quit at this point.

I can’t wait to see what “adventures” await us in Season 38.

Since yesterday: I keep getting error 395002, but every once in a while, a hero will load and I can play–but only for about 5 minutes and then game is “ended” (and ‘yes’, rollback occurs).

I’ve gone through all the troubleshooting tips and nothing works.

I ‘was’ able to play 3 days ago without any problems. Oddly however, I never saw a diabolical fissure. I thought maybe Blizzard did away with them, but I can’t find anything saying they did that.

Aren’t the Diabolical Fissures Season-only?

Season 37 ended 4 days ago.

No, they added them for ‘normal’ play as well.

Hmm, now I’m questioning myself. I haven’t played in a while until just recently, so maybe I’m remembering wrong. I did a search and found where it said they are also in ‘normal’, but I didn’t find a lot of evidence for it—so maybe not.

Visions of Enmity Explained

However, Season 30 added the Visions of Enmity as a permanent feature to the game in seasonal play!

Visions of Enmity Mechanics in Diablo 3

Starting from Season 30, every Diablo season going forward will also feature the formerly S29-exclusive farming mechanic, the ‘Visions of Enmity’.

Visions of Enmity

Visions of Enmity are special zones present in Diablo III Seasons starting with Season 29.

If I can get in-game and stay there long enough, I’ll try to run some highly populated areas and see if I can spawn a Visions Portal. But, so far, I can find no documentation anywhere that states Diabolical Fissures can spawn in non-Season.

Addendum

I just saw your edit. Thank you for saving me testing time.

I’m also getting these “Game was terminated.” messages, and the rollbacks as well. Sometimes I get the “Game was terminated.” message only a couple seconds after entering a new game. I just wanted to sort through my items from last season before the new one starts, but it’s completely unplayable like this.

Issue persists now on Mar 26 midday, NA server. C’mon blizz
