Red Pixelated Graphical Glitch

After installing a new GPU (Nvidia 5080, was previously a 3080), I have seen a strange ne graphical glitch in Diablo 3. Many textures have a red, pixelated effect over them (especially noticeable near vertices or edges, see flag in screen clipping below). I did not have this issue before installing the new GPU. I have ensured Windows and my drivers are up to date. I have reinstalled my drivers and the game itself, and this issue seems to only occur in Diablo 3. The glitch seems to be present on the character select screen and during gameplay on my character, the environment, etc. but is NOT present on any menus. This includes menus brought up by pressing escape and ingame menus like my inventory or map. I have fiddled with settings in the game, the Nvidia Control Panel, and Windows system without any luck

Did you remove the old driver with DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) first?

Also, you can set all graphical settings to minimum in D3 and if you don’t have any visual glitches there, raise one by one till you get it, and you should know what setting is causing it.

By how you describe it I believe it could be a setting related to anti-aliasing technology used.

Also, it might be that you have DLSS forced through the driver, but the game doesn’t really know how to ā€œhandle itā€.

Good luck!

Morning I have been having the same issue, after some troubleshooting I’ve found a workaround until this gets fixed.

Launch the game in 32-bit instead of 64-bit

  • Go to Battle-net launcher
  • Click the gear icon next to play
  • Click game settings
  • Select Launch 32-bit client
  • Select Done

Confirmed this solved it!! :+1:

I’m having the same issue, and the 32 bit client fixed it for me as well, thank you.

I’m still wondering what happened. 5070 Nvidia.

My 5070Ti have the same red pixels only in act1 theme.

The 32 bit client fixed red pixels but sound now is bugged and menu have a huge delay.

I’ve solved that!
Deactivated all configs in this nvidia panel works for me
