Random thought about the 1 second delay for + channeling damage items

This Bazooka nerf is going to hit every channeling wizard build hard: any build that casts manual abilities (e.g. extra manual meteors) or Tal Rasha that needs to use two skills to maintain the stacks will have forced channeling stop / re-starts with that 1 second delay each time.

Wouldn’t it be possible to have that 1 second delay ONLY if you have Archon slotted?

Not sure how hard that condition would be to implement but it seems like an easy fix that has the intended effect on Bazooka without all the collateral damage to all other channeling builds.

Honestly, I’m wondering if it will even break bazooka. Bazooka, as a build, still works just fine. If we switched out the channeling items for the smaller% damage modifiers I wonder if bazooka would still clear a 150 GRift 4p.

Equip Sunkeeper/Doombringer in MH and Orb of Infinite Depth in offhand to make up a little bit of damage. Would do about 7x less damage as the original Bazooka Wiz, but you wouldn’t need to channel. With the old Bazooka clearing 150s in 3min it might still be used

Nerf to Mantle of Channeling will screw other classes too like TR Monk, WW Barb, RF DH…

Nerf Wiz not the entire game! The other classes had nothing to do with Bazooka. They ought to be left out of this nerf!
