PTR 2.7.7 patch notes = absolute garbage

It’s like rearranging the furniture in an outhouse. The ultimate outcome is fundamentally unchanged.

You’re too literal. Don’t analyze, just allow the mental picture to form.

RIP Arachyr Chicken Doctors. It was fun enjoying you in S29 while we could. I mean, still going to use it. Speed is essence for me and I don’t like being slow and lumbering anymore.

If chicken is no longer tenable, I’ll just quit because that was the main source of damage boosting to chicken and it was slashed clean in half (actually a little more than half).

No, to unlock final note, you need to unlock all nodes.

Huh, learnt something new today.

Didn’t know verbatim’s definition was limited to just ‘words’.

My exposure to the word is primarily from the brand of storage media of the same name. Considering that was CD and flash drive storage, I guess somewhere along the lines I thought the definition of verbatim was an exact copy of something and not just words.

Guess I better not use the word incorrectly from now on.

Mostly a lot of nerfs and too little buffing of underperforming sets.

You’re talking Season 30 taking place near the holidays for many people. Add to that Diablo 4 has a winter event that’s going to start practically around the same time as Season 30, and Season 3 of Diablo 4 starts in January.

They’re catering towards people who play Diablo 4, but can spare a weekend for Diablo 3.

Seems like this words are the lasts one which can show how much emotions are negative and not being obscene

It’s a setup season.

They are setting things up so future seasons just require them to pull the lever and activate without having to do anything.

You can’t have the full power of the Altar combined with some of the more powerful themes like Ethereals and many of the sets in the state they are in now without it causing massive overshoot problems.

Some of the number adjustments may need to be further adjusted up or down, but that’s why they state in the PTR Patch Notes for us to give feedback on these things.

Without a separate theme to work on, they can use all of this PTR development time looking at our feedback and their in game telemetry to balance things.

As if they had ever reacted to our feedback. They just look at data and nerf what performs well.

They listened to all the feedback on Lamentation needing nerfed then buffed everything right past that build again, only to go back and nerf most of them too. I swear they “balance” this game like it was a MOBA and they need to boost microtransaction sales when there aren’t any. Crabs in a bucket.

I love these patch notes, it makes the game harder for unattentively playing noobs, but they don’t hurt the pros, almost at all. I did a little bit of math here and there, its all perfectly fine. For me at least
We, the players, not noobs, are going to have so good time, i can’t wait for grind.
To me it seems like we actually get buffs to META team play, not nerfs (after adding the altar powers).

Who cares. You won’t even be playing the game anymore anyways when Blizzard stops updating this game.

Since we are talking about the Altar I’ll just use the season 28 PTR as an example. They took the feedback regarding it being too strong and conduit being included as being way too strong and implemented the changes that were given.

Natalyas was also changed at that time because of community feedback.

that the power nodes have been nerfed to the ground was expected.
Important is that all the QoL stuff is in there, auto pickup & salvage, resource on crit, double primal, etc

Personally I think they went overboard with the nerfs. 5% buffs feel really insignificant 20% instead of 50% would have been more appropriate to make it feel good. If they would have removed all the power increases and only kept QoL I’d still be happy tho.

Passability and CC immunity is a weird one to keep, it negates so many mechanics that I consider it questionable to have it permanent

Triune power circle is too underwhelming, this red circle is now 50%, pointless to step in since occulus is 85%.

Yeah, I probably just gonna look for Triune/Oculus overlaps now…

Id like to see the Seeker of light get a boost in damage, and not just a single item boost that will probably not help reach any higher in the grs. Maybe throw some attention at the corpse lance build. You know the fun sets that nobody uses cause they suck monkey balls.

I don’t mind power getting nerfed (although damage to bosses from 50% to 5% was way too much), it is the QoL one getting nerfed that bothered me.

Why did they nerf movement speed?

I really loved moving fast. That needs to be undone. It is not going to unbalance the game, just make the game more fun by having that extra movement speed. Please bring the full 25% back!

Even this season, it didn’t make sense to me why they nerfed movement speed to the point you needed to dump all your paragon into it, just to make it the same as previous seasons where you only needed to put 50 points into it.

The only thing I can think of is if there’s some technical issues with high movement speed that have been found, and this is more of a hack to make sure you can’t possibly exceed certain movement speeds.
