PTR 2.7 [Wizard]

Strange to hear. I love Vyr’s as well and was happy to see Firebird set include the same great mobility as Vyr’s - teleport at will. Hop over walls, over packs of mobs, go anywhere on the map instantly. FB’s stacks are so easy to maintain that teleport is always on tap. And unlike Aether Walker - no AP cost, just like Vyr’s in Archon mode.

And you can’t really say that Monk’s dashing strike even with massive CDR buffs compares - Archon teleport and FB teleport are on another level and also, unlike Raiment, teleport isn’t intended to do dmg or, when used, buff other skill dmg so that’s apples and oranges.

And with Raiment Shenlong you’re not sweeping a beam to maintain or increase stacks - something that both Vyrs and FB have to do periodically to be effective. Not sure why you’d compare Raiment Shenlong there.

With FB, if you go with EB/chain as in the video clip, you’re also getting very frequent blasts much like Vyr’s periodic strikes/blasts - with Raiment shenlong there’s no equivalent blasts, so again, not sure why the analogy is made.

So the rotation in speeds of teleport, beam sweep and blasts is very similar between Vyr’s and FB w/ EB/chain. I don’t really see the Raiment analogy much there tbh.

I mean if you’re saying there’s the same generalized feel of zooming into and out of packs, doing a bunch of frenetic damage, and all that, you could say that about many builds.

And again, this is specific to speeds - not push. Totally different animals. in pushes, Vyr’s has ground strike CC that’s immensely valuable - in speeds you’re just teleporting around blowing stuff up pretty much instantly.
