S28 : The season of Leah and Cain’s farewell

Each time you click on a pylon, you either summon an angry Cain or a merciless Leah that will harrass your enemies for 60 seconds

Angry Cain has three attacks :

  • His staff deals 5000% of your weapon damage on a 20 melee range
  • Every 15 seconds, a giant book of Cain will spawn and pages will drop around you. Each enemy hit by the pages will take 1000% more damage
  • Angry Cain will cast a buff on your group doubling your statistics during 30 seconds (only once at a time) after yelling “Stay alive, don’t listen !”

Merciless Leah has two attacks

  • Merciless Leah uses her bow to deal additionnal damage. Each enemies hit by her range attack get confused and takes an additionnal 25% extra damage from your group
  • Every 25 seconds, she spawns a diablo clone shooting ‘i am your father’ that will release a giant fireball through the map for 5 seconds

Reduce one zero from all sets & LoD, & throw in a few seasonal themes, + some cool D4 related theme will be cool. Maybe change paragon board to be like D4 to give us a preview.

I hope it is not another gimmick that has most people finishing the season in the first week and back to the forum with the never ending “when does it end.” Please make S28 a good one if it is the last one before D4.

Season of “all other seasons combined” meaning stuff like ethereals and soul shards and 4th ccube slot + anything in cube etc. The powercreep would be off the charts. Probably stupid fun.

Also expect them to announce that they will go on with seasons from now on but the themes will be recycled and most likely no more balance patches.

Let’s see… I’ll predict the patch notes plus their effects. Fair? Fair.

  • Torment 30 has been implemented. Now if you want to farm at the highest efficiency you only meant to use the top Greater Rift build, have full augments and be around 9-10k paragon levels.

Still, each solo session takes you two and a half hours to clear all 5 acts, regardless. Now entire game has been dominated by 7-8 top builds and everyone complains about builds using the same skills, same Sets, farming taking too long and demand another power buff.

  • Developers finally came to their “senses” and decided to make every build dish out same amount of damage, which seems only fair. They meticulously crafted formulas to ensure every class dealing the exact 10000000000000000000000000% damage per second.

They achieved this by forcing different multipliers for each different skill instead of giving each Set an umbrella multiplier that cover multiple skills. Now, it takes you half minute read your Set tooltips and game is dominated by only 3 classes. Because their builds offer the least effort to risk stake, while being tanky enough or abuse mass pets. Look at the bright side, you can dominate T30 without even trying or lifting a finger with your lazy aura/pet build and still own GR150 by walking like you’re visiting an amusement park.

  • Now while split farming new improved auto pick up feature brings you all the gold and crafting materials you deserve from other players running around.

You can be away-from-keyboard in town and still benefits, don’t you worry. Stopping by to pickup something is now a past memory. You don’t have to sacrifice your cooldown cycles or buff duration, there’s no such drawback anymore. Now entire game is about speed and going forward just like Greater Rifts and always will be this way until you burn out. Good luck trying to move fast while you play at Torment 30 though.

Now are those accurate? Let’s wait…

Every build viable, just go nuts and buff all sets to be equally powerfull. A cool season thematic and let us enjoy the LAST season of diablo 3. I played since 2012 and its still a very enjoyable game, just let us go with a bang!

Seeing as this is probably the last Season before D4 launch, here is my prediction:

All buffs from previous seasons will be active,
ancient vaults will only contain flavor goblins,
auto-loot now applies to all mats and gems.

This way they have a proper send off for D3 to Valhalla as the buffs (while being incredibly fun) will melt their servers into slag.

P.S., for those of you who cry about auto-loot, don’t worry, the amount of lag from the buffs will drop the game before anyone can pick something up.

New consumable: Ramaldini’s Hope

For Ancient Legendary Weapons WITHOUT Legendary Powers: adds +50-100% increased All Skills damage based on Class as a secondary stat.

Nerf all the S-Tier builds to bring them down to A or B (balance problem solved. Sarcastic but unfortunately possible)

Demon Hunters totally immune to environmental traps. Waller effects destroyable. Reduce Teleport skill cooldown a bit. Crusader’s Iron skin and Laws to last longer, for God’s sake. Monk’s serenity as well.

New interface to choose games to join

Win a free copy of D4 when clearing a 150 under 5.000 paragons.

Will need to reduce a few zeros from set/LoD/LoN though, otherwise, average joe with Paragon 300 will beat 150 solo in 3 days.

Almost time to guess the URL

two ways to look at this: D2R got basically no changes, so D3 got them all.

Or: This is D3, we will get no changes.

Me? I vote for the most underwhelming, unrequested, perplexing changes ever. D3 turned me into a bitter cynic.

Maybe put damage for console at same level as pc. Turn to cross progression testing bring back ethereals and the extra cube slot. More ways to earn the cosmetics and pets from all seasons during the last huzzah of full attention from diablo team.

Last season before D4, who the hell cares? They have been letting players using automated programs beat 150 forever, let everyone do it before D4 comes out.

Do I win? :stuck_out_tongue: I think this patch qualifies, although the season theme is actually kinda interesting.

Miss Cleo says: “Hahaha, you cannot fool the cards!”

I just wanted to know who wanted Spike Traps to be a thing.

Oh I’m sure someone out there did… (not that I can talk, since I don’t main DH).

Yes, yes…but who did they BRIBE?

Which direction?

Dev bribing the players? or Players bribing the devs?

The funny… on Dieoxide’s stream we joked about why the patch took so long. We said they couldn’t figure out how to make Spike Traps better. This was about 1 week ago.

It appears I’m a bad psychic. I can deal with that I guess.
