It’s pretty simple. After your LotD expires you get either 50 “supercharged” lances or 50 “supercharged” explosions, depending on what skill you use. Each lance or explosion equals 1 stack. You can use the stacks any time you want as long as you have corpses, but most people save them for the next time LotD is active. The 2nd time you pop LotD, first 50 lances/explosions will do 200% more damage on top of all multipliers you had the first time.
Forget the word “stack”, if it confuses you. Think of it as strapping a stick of dynamite to the 50 first lances/explosions.
