Hello and ty !
I did not try WotHF : FoF because I need the high generation from the skill I am using ( 20 Sp vs 10 Sp) to keep up the Shen’s bonus all the time.
Besides, I read the skill description and did not see what you had in mind, sorry if I did not understand what u meant … ^^; Why do u wanna test the proc rate of this skill, for the tornadoes spawns ?
P.S. this is not a “true” gen build, the generator is just used to fit the Shen’s requirement, spirit regeneration-wise … Just in case !

“- Fists of Fury still reigns for any builds that benefit from on high proc coefficents. (Keep in mind I don’t subscribe to the theory that Flying Dragon is related to proc coefficients.) ^_^”
Basically how FoF works is that every enemy you hit gets a DoT. Each DoT has a pretty high proc coefficient and can spawn tornadoes on their own independent of your hitting the enemy. To test you can to use FoF and beat on an enemy and then start running around. You’ll see tornadoes start spawning on their own as your DoT’s crit and proc.
It’s one of the reasons why FoF was used with static charge a long time ago, and has been featured in other builds where procs were essential.
The spirit issues you were having do not bode well for this set. I think my initial assessment was right. This set is going to need an internal AS buff somewhere between 150% and 200% multiplicative to make up for loss of FD / R2 in order to keep Shenlong’s up. Either that, or another claw weapon is needed to go with VW to allow FD to be cubed again.
But at that point, we might as well just go LoD anyway. The point of using this set, it seems to me, is to get access to Shenlong’s. But they need to support that.
Good testing!

Thanks for the heads up ! It’s been so long ago (patch 1.0X … :P) that I had forgotten about this proc rate story !
Yeah, I tried WotHF:FoF and I was spirit starving so it would indeed need an asp buff somewhere. This is a good idea, for sure.
So far, I would say that we would need :
-
Kyoshiro’s soul : complete the affix with “increases SW dmg by 400-500%”,
-
Vengeful wind : increases the dmg buff from 300% to 500-600%,
-
4P bonus : 50% DR and increases ASP by XX %,
-
buff SW skill dmg in the 600% range,
-
forget about the TR story in the mix !
I think it would be put it in a much better place than now.

Problem with cyclones is each one will only hit one target at a time(hitting 3-5? times per cyclone). The majority of the damage of this set is from the sweeping wind around your character.
Also, the cyclones don’t appear to be getting the double damage from eye of the storm. I guess that’s why they made the helm like that. In density it would help get a trash mob killed so you can stand in an occulus circle to buff wind damage.

My sugestion for this Set:
- 2-Piece Bonus: Sweeping Wind and Cyclone Strike gain the effect of every rune
- 4-Piece Bonus: Each enemy within Sweeping Wind increases your damage reduction by 5% (maybe 3% attack speed as well?). Stacks up to 10 times. In addition every enemy pulled by Cyclone Strike increases the damage of your Spirit Generators by 450%.
- 6-Piece Bonus: Attacking with Spirit Generators while Sweeping Wind is active will temporarily increase the size of Sweeping Wind after hitting over 30 times within a short period. Sweeping Wind damage is increased by 55000%
[Eye of the Storm]
When Cyclone Strike pulled 10 or less enemies your Spirit Generators damage is increased by 6000%.
I am looking something to increase damage when on fight with RG that is why 6000% for less than 10 enemies on helmet. Maybe you guys have better idea for it?
Why boosting the spirit generators dmg ? Is not Rainment doing it already ?
I like the 55k% dmg boost on the 6P! ; )
I was suspecting something like that but considering the cyclones would not benefit from 6P set bonus ! ; P
Anyway, I tried with WotHF:FoF with no success, even boosting my asp with the PE gem and seize the initiative (was close to 100% uptime on Shen long’s bonus).
Reverted back to my phys setup and almost cleared a 102 (missed by 15 secs, I was pretty pissed lol). That’s it for me today, have fun, all ! =)
I was looking anything that fits better than TR with CS and it seems that is the only choice as Monk has the least number of active skills. Playstyle would be different with CS + Generators than Raiment and as Patterns Set is similar to Sunwuko Set at the moment i don’t mind to have another Generators boost set after redesign.

As many of players sugest more dr, i have changed 4p bonus:
- 4-Piece Bonus: Each enemy within Sweeping Wind increases your damage reduction by 5% (maybe 3% attack speed as well?). Stacks up to 10 times. In addition every enemy pulled by Cyclone Strike increases the damage of your Spirit Generators by 450%.
Gonna be tricky VS the RG and some yellows !
i just did a gr108 with the new crusader set in 9 mins, im so excited is too OP

All right, final test for this version of the PTR. I am using the same setup as Cross (who cleared 110 with it, PL6500+) so credits go to him !
I tried something very close to it but using WotHF:FoF, the cyclone rune on SW and light element on gear. Never came close to it so I suspect the tornadoes dont benefit from the 6P bonus.
Anyway , here is my final video until they improve something in the mix :

well, try it in pubblic game or coop too.
What for ? It’s neither speed or push-able !

The tornados are only 95% WD (not per stack) so even if they were I’m not sure their damage contribution is going to be worth anything in comparison to the 1755% WD of Sweeping Wind itself.

Very good point, still with so many of them on screen, I was hoping for them to do some noticeable damage (and also to benefit from the stack, tbh ;P).
for testing group gameplay, bounty or grift farm.
i imagine u use unity, how it behaves in a group?
Well u got your answer here ! ; ) Since the set does not include any DR, unity is mandatory hence ruling this build out of any group “serious” game … : P
yeah, this is it, i was sarcarstic.
SWK WoL deals around 22,000,000% damage, SW here deals 3,000,000%.
The Cyclone Tornadoes does around 150,000% so they really could use that x13 multiplier that SW gets from Vengeful stacks.
Getting an Ambo’s like power which allows you to trigger a whole lot of SW dot in one go would also give a lot of power.
