Patch 2.6.6 Same Day As Seas 18?

According to the Season 18 start date post, it says:

“Season 18 begins August 23, alongside the latest Diablo III patch”

Does that mean at the very same time as when the Season begins?

I rather like playing around with new patches on my regular characters before diving into the season.

Patch 2.6.6 hits sometime between now and 8/23, and we (generally) patch on Tuesdays.

That’s not a guarantee, but it’s a a pretty reasonable estimation to make.

Seems to be coming Tuesday.

To add to Nev’s statement, she likely meant that the patch will dro after season 17 ends and season 18 starts (she mentioned Tuesday but no guarantees).
