No Primals since Last patch, error

Haqs… Errr, nice!

This reminds me of that tiktok with the “How do mirrors know what’s on the other side of the paper”

Yesterday while opening bunch of bounty caches, got three primals. On a different account also opening bunch of bounty caches, none…
(Were less caches, but still).

Guess which needed (and still needs) two primals…

Rng can be cruel.

Hmm…

  • Chance that a legendary will be primal = 1/400
  • Chance that a legendary will not be a primal = 399/400
  • Chance that none of X legendaries will be primal = (399/400)^X

So…

  • Chance that none of 50000 legendaries will be primal = (399/400)^50000 = 0.00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000044179

There’s roughly a 1 in 2.2635 septendecillion chance your claim is true.

We could focus on this claim too.

50k legendaries = ~4000-5000 GRs (10-12 legendaries per GR).

5k rifts but only 1800 SC / 1200 HC paragon?

I have 3000 SC / 1500 HC paragon. That’s about 4x the XP of 1800 /1200. And I’ve only ran about 2500 total rifts this season.

5k GR120s would give you ~4300 paragon. That’s about 11x the XP of 1800 / 1200.
5k GR90s would give you ~2700 paragon. Still 2.5x this guy’s XP.

There’s no way they’ve found 50k legendaries this season but only have 1800 / 1200 paragon. You just can’t farm that many legendaries running GR90+ without also gaining way more XP than OP has. Unless they literally never step foot in a GR, but no one in their right mind would farm 1800 paragon doing T16 rifts.

So, we agree that they’re likely to be fibbing for the sake of hyperbole?

One thing you guys aren’t taken into consideration is user error.
Do we even know if the OP completed a GR70 solo in the required time?
It wouldn’t be the first time someone came to the forums with the claim of no Primals, and they never met the qualifications for them to drop.

I just did a split bounty and got these results:
completed 8 bounties
got 25.968 mil xp
got 6 legendaries from drops, 20 from caches, and 1350 shards which with the altar should net 11 legendaries on average
so approximately 37 legendaries per run

If the OP did approximately 1,000 split bounties they would have approximately 37,000 legendaries and be paragon 1200. Mix that in with getting carried on a 1000 GR100s and the OP could find 50,000 legendaries with their low paragon.

Maybe the OP is not trolling or using hyperbole, but just doesn’t know how to play the game.

He has (crafted) primals equipped so he must have.

Pure BS. The last patch was released before season 28, the current season, yet you have primal items on your seasonal characters. So clearly you have received primal items after “the last patch.”

Actually there was a small patch a little while back. It didn’t come with any patch notes so it’s a bit mystery what it changed. Based on timing it propably had some compatibility fixes, to show correctly ingame if someone of your friends is playing D4.

Still, not getting primals is just efficiency issue. Just doing very speedy GR90+ yields a lot of legendaries and eventually there will be primals.

I just had 2 primal drops yesterday so yes, they are dropping.

Once received, there is nothing you can do to alter the ‘Server’ aspect of game by deleting it.

You simply have had bad luck or just didn’t play enough.

I just leveled a friend coming back to D3 and between the both of us, we’ve had a dozen primal drops in two days.

I know they are Drax. Might want to go back and read my entire post  .

Myriam is different issue than primals. The only gamble should and always has been the Bloodshards. Blizzard made video long ago saying they didn’t want us wasting time on gear. Myriam 219x for Ancient shoulder to have skill needed… is not acceptable… that is what I was mentioning about Myriam the Mystic or Enchanting Items. Your Welcome.

Agreed. The game has wayyyyy too many slot machines. Simple solution for things like Myriam and the cube would be to add a buyout option. Ancient is 1:10 Primal drop rate is 1:400, so add buyouts for re-forge recipe where if you pay 10x the re-forge cost, it is guaranteed to be ancient and if you pay 400x the re-forge cost, it is guaranteed to be Primal. Same can be done with Myriam, where you can pay the cost to get the attribute you want based on the statistical average of getting that attribute.
