New to D3 and Necromancer

Hello all, New to D3 I do have a Barb at 70 with 430 or so Paragon points, so my free Set of armor went to him. I did decide to make a necro as it seems like the class for me. My question to this is, whats good build at 70 for a necro without any set pieces? Also, whats the best way to get set pieces when they are not free, do I just run Nephs or Greater rifts? Or should I just run my Barb through them hoping for necro drops?

Thanks in advance as I am lost on how to get this necro some decent gear.

I used this when i first played fhe Necromancer with 0 legendaries. The link also explains the play style and what beginning legendaries you should go for. Its easily able to get into t6 - t8.

Both of these items help a ton.

Once you get the essentials for this build and you want to start farming for sets you can easily do gr 40 to 45 and gradually build up from there.
