If you hover your mouse over a poster’s avatar or forum name, your browser will give a preview of the URL it would take you to, which includes the BattleNet ID of that player. For example, if you hovered over me, the end of the URL would be Meteorblade-2266. The numeric portion is important, as the first digit of it indicates the user’s home region, as follows…

  • 1 = The Americas
  • 2 = Europe
  • 6 = Asia

Whilst some players play on their non-home regions, most play where their accounts are based, so as the OP’s Battlenet ID starts with a 1, it was always a good bet that they’d be playing on the US region.

You mean their BattleTag starts with 1, not “2”.
