I played the bone spear set on PTR and didnt have much success with it, it was really hard to balance damage and defense with the limited item selection but after the buff it received and a few changes i missed its doing much better.

Using the frost scythe rune for attack speed, Blood spear rune for max damage and scent of blood frality rune for 15% more minion damage plus resist gems and stand alone passive. The damage is much higher than it was but relies heavily on the Coe cycle dont miss it. I generally attack with the scythe making sure not to have max essense and a sec or 2 before physical cycle use dislocation and blood rush away for max use of Zei’s stone of vengeance and spam as many spears as possible.
I don’t think the Simulacrums are counted as minions so that rune on Frailty might not be an optimal choice.
Wiki says Yes they are minions but its weird they say their damage is only enhanced if yours is but this is an increase to damage taken on the mob so should be effective. Tested I dont think they are I took off all buffs/ damage increases and attacked for a while got 2.6k top and used the curse and was unable to get a 2.7 so must not count as pets wiki is incorrect.
