I never expect to be able to use the free solo GR70 primal. I do love the fact I get to complete 1 potion on the Altar as soon as I do that solo GR70.
what do you do if the free primal is one you actually would like to use?
Will you keep it? Or is the power of the pimped potion too enticing?

Well, Primals were introduced in S10. That makes this the 27th season with them. I almost always do HC and SC achievements and do the GR70 since I am there, so that would be 50-54 Primals. Now we have both SSF modes since S29, so another 16 Primals. Out of the 66-70 Primals I have received from the freebie, only one has been for a build I play and had correct rolls.
It was a UE shoulder that I already had a correctly rolled one in non-season, so I salvaged it. Pre-Altar, I did always keep them, even though they were trash, now it is pretty much insta-salvage.
If I ever get a correctly rolled Primal from the solo GR70 that I do not have non-season, I will definitely keep. I rarely push GRs, so the potion power is no big deal to me.

So do you split your playing time between season and non-s? Or is non-s just a trophy case for you?
You didn’t use it during seasonal play for the higher stats and salvage it when the season was coming to a close?
Same here. I can’t remember the last time, if ever, I got a usable freebie when I did level 70 GR.

I think I had more primals useful for other classes/builds that I didn’t play.
I just remember a useful Mudununugu torso, everything else was recycled.

At this point, just a trophy case. I used to play a little non-season in between seasons, but with no auto-pet loot and no Visions, non-season just feels bad.
Na, I rarely push and with last season’s theme, had zero interest to push. Any regular shoulder is good for T16, so salvaged it to get to double Primordial Ashes faster.
Sad part is, I keep 1 of each set build non-season plus the top LoD build. I still have only had 1 Primal to fit these builds that was rolled correctly.

First I was thinking… What lucky guy, but then I stopped cause either you get oneshot or DOT’s (Damage type: Verbal). The end result is the same.
