My family's traditional BDay song

True story: My Family’s “traditional” BDay song goes back to the mid-80’s when I brought it back from boy scout camp. My wife loves this song. I sang it when each of my kids were born, and for many years after. Until my daughter asked me to stop (I still sing it though!) and my son seems to endure it silently.

Oh Happy Birthday,
Oh Happy Birthday,
There is death in the air,
People die-ing every-where,
Oh Happy Birthday,
Oh Happy Birthday,

Sing it with despair. Slowly like all life and meaning has been leached from you and left you in the deepest funk that is beyond imagining.

For the record, today is my bday. And my parents just called me and sang that song. It was so awesome. Good memories. Good times. I celebrate today with champagne, wine, and cheese fondue.

And D3. HC. Will my DH survive?
