Hi I was playing Diablo 3 with some friends over the weekend and I logged out of my game on Xbox and when I came back all my characters had disappeared my friend advise they might be gone because of server issues but it’s been 3 days now and they have not returned. Could someone advise on why they’ve vanished or how to get them back they were also not deleted
You should move this thread to the Console Bug Report Forum.
Moving Threads
- Click the pencil icon next to the title of your thread.
- Click the “Category” field to bring up a list of Forums.
- Find the proper Forum and select it.
- Save your edit.
This will move your thread to the selected Forum, including all replies.

diablo 3 on consoles are not linked to battlenet and thus data is not saved on battlenet but locally on the console.
If your characters are gone it is probably an issue with the xbox cloud sync.
Unfortunately because diablo 3 is not linked to battlenet on consoles nobody, not blizz or microsoft xbox is able to support with any issues regarding your character data…
Are you playing on the correct xbox account?
if yes then I fear your data is lost it is currently synced with the xbox cloudsave
Did you have multiple accounts logged into one console? This occurs frequently if you select an account, return to main menu, and select a different account. Any time you want to switch which account is being used you should close out of diablo completely and then select the correct account after once again getting to the main menu to avoid this file corruption.
