Multi account question

I’m not sure exactly what you’re looking for. But, I believe you can find everything you need here:

Blizzard Legal

Just bookmark it.

The first of these - there is no TOS for Blizzard games anymore! That went away long ago and the rules are all incorporated into the EULA that covers all the platforms.

There are a slew of other legal documents though for other specific things, but they don’t apply to D3.

Most of the common EULA questions are covered in the Support article Knowledge base so if someone asks, I can point them to the right one.

As for Silencing, which is covered by the EULA, not TOS, there IS an issue for D3 players. Silences now impact all played Blizz games on that Bnet account. There is a bug that Silenced Bnet accounts can’t create a game in D3.

I have that covered in the Bug Report sticky though. Otherwise the rules cover the basic Silence Support article and the generic appeals article.

No, I use a program called Synergy, which uses my network to seamlessly transfer the mouse and keyboard inputs to the computer of whatever monitor I am pointing at. I have 6 monitors, 3 on each computer, so being able to move a single mouse to any one of them is fabulous, and both keyboard and clipboard text inputs follow the mouse; however, I cannot copy and paste a file between computers with Synergy. I still have to open a window to the other computer and do file transfers between windows on one machine or the other. But Synergy is perfect for leapfrogging characters in multiple games on multiple monitors, and I can do it all without ever having to Alt+Tab.

I have a D3FAQS.TXT on my desktop containing responses to topics that regularly come up on the forums. Saves me a lot of typing.

I am still a tiny bit ticked that I did not receive the five free copies of Diablo III from purchasing the annual pass back in the day on my 5 wow accounts.
Instead I got 1 copy and completely ignored when I submitted it to support.

And thank you for finding the info MissCheetah at least now I can see how that is not allowed even though I knew people who did the exact same thing I did to get the extra licenses and then set up new accounts after receiving the new licenses.

You should definitely save this somewhere and thank you once again for bringing me some form of closer. Something that Bizzard has always had problems doing regardless of the case. (I despised the worthless auto reply letters. Always felt like they were saying “We received your concern and will commence to deleting it now.”)

Sadly the Legal FAQ for the WoW Annual Pass is not something I can find a link to.

This is the only thing I can find and it is the public facing announcement

While you can have up to 8 WoW licenses per Bnet account, you can only have one D3 license.

I am betting somewhere in the legal terms it states that the Annual Pass applies once to the Bnet account. That paying for a year of WoW on 5 WoW licenses under that one Bnet account would not get you more D3 keys - because they can only grant one key per Bnet account.

That is my gut feeling - and yes I did get D3 that way too. I just can’t prove it because the Legal pages for it are long gone.

Yeah I had found the same thing but was hoping you would be able to find the info contained in the FAQs link that no longer works.

There are only a handful of times I have disagreed with your perspective but your ability for finding, organizing and recalling that info back to present has always been top notch in my book.

Sadly I can’t. If you had asked in 2012 on the D3 Tech Support forum I could have gotten the info. I handled a LOT of AP questions in 2012 and 2013.

The reason I need the Legal FAQ is that they COULD generate D3 keys for you via CS if you met certain terms. For example someone who got the Collector’s Edition, but already had the basic digital D3 could contact CS and CS would send a D3 key to the email (Bnet) of the person’s choice. Then of course the CE key was applied to the account. That way the person did not pay for the same license twice without being able to use the license.

I can’t recall a single case of anyone getting the AP on multiple WoW accounts and then getting multiple D3 keys to use on other Bnets. I would remember that… I think. It makes me pretty confident the legal terms prohibited it.

ROFLMAO!!! Wish I had of known that back in the day!
Oh well guess it’s all a moot point now.

Yeah, it is way too late to claim anything like that! It had to be done when the CE key was applied to the Bnet account - and you had to know to contact CS to have them handle it for you. Otherwise it would just say “you already have D3” when you tried to put the CE key on the account (I think).

Same with Annual Pass issues. Those had to be dealt with during the program or soon after. These days they won’t touch anything related to it.

The last action I know of was during Warlords of Draenor 2015ish, a group of people, including me, suddenly could not post on the D3 forums.

I was pretty sure it was related to getting our keys from the Annual Pass so I contacted support under the “account issue” type category. They actually contacted me live chat in game to talk about it, checked out my theory (I was right), fixed my account, then did a pass to fix everyone else impacted.

That was the last AP related action I can think of from support.

Mmmm…want copy…

Bear in mind some of it is things I paste into in-game chat rather than onto the forums but here you go… https://pastebin.com/qg1rz1u3

LOL…similarly, I have an entire folder in My Documents containing all manner of Diablo III info, including text files of my common gripes, which I post from time to time.

Want copies of those, Tias…lol…

Wish I had known that, or;
Wish I would have known that.

Never use “could of,” “would of,” or “should of.” That form is a mutation of “could have,” “would have,” or “should have,” adapted from listening to lazy speech rather than practicing good grammar.

Bear in mind.

With you, probably a typo or a speech recognition error you didn’t catch.

Thanks! Copied to my WoW tech support folder (it’s for all games, but initially just for WoW).

They’re all the right letters just not necessarily in the right order.
(Blame typing fast and not checking. Corrected it)

be sure to add " S22 = Jesseth only" to that file

No thanks. I prefer to have facts in there.
