Modded/hacked leaderboard

Hi, can you (BLIZZARD) separate players that use/have in stash modded/hacked items ?
Something like what we have now: hardcore vs softcore,
at least for season,
or any other options to make them invisible.
Thanks

In season on x-box there are no mods, only a bunch of DH exploiters. The rest of the seasonal LB’s are legit. Like I said before: why can’t PS do the same? I would urge all players who can afford it to move to x-box for seasonal play (allthough it shouldn’t be required to have a cheat-free environment!)

The reason for that is the XB has not been hacked whilst the PS4 has with its save encryption keys. D3 on both platforms are identical its just one has had their console hacked so save editing exists.

If XB could be hacked and have save editors then the LB’s on that platform would be in the same situation.

Moving to XB just for D3, an 8 year old game seems a bit extreme…given it may be hacked in the future.

Well, technically you’re correct. The DH glitch isn’t patched on console and it’s just as game-breaking as modded items. So, yeah…it’s not hacked…but it kinda is.

The console is not hacked at all in itself. You are mentioning a game exploit not related to a console hack.

This, exactly, for Xbox. The LBs for groups and solo DH are full of people using the HA exploit. But the players using the exploit are wearing legit gear. It’s not a hack.

are you guys like absolutely ignorant of players using rings / amulets with THREE sockets, NINE legendary gems, using weapons with something like 2.4 MILLION damage?

there’s more than just some DH exploit going on, and has been for quite some time now.

That’s on the Switch and PlayStation. As mentioned, the Xbox should be clean, excluding exploits such as the DH flaw, or people who save scum. But those are trivial in comparison, where skill can still compensate (Well, not the DH part, but the save scumming).

Hopefully patch on Tuesday the 12th (if season start is 15th) will fix the issue for the DH otherwise, the player count will drop significantly on xb for both sc and hc.

Not significantly. Will some people drop? Sure. But, for example, on the PlayStation there’s less than a 20k difference between this season and season 23, before people were aware that people could modify saved games. Out of a population of about 200k players per season, we’re talking 10%. Also, consider that we’re 2 seasons further in, so the player count is going to drop anyway.

The bottom line is the majority of people don’t visit the forums nor care about the leaderboards. Heck, the vast majority of players don’t even reach level 70 in a season. Even if you exclude all of those, it still scales similarly to previous seasons.

I can’t imagine it would be any different on the Xbox.

No. The player base will significantly drop. A lot of top tier players have already moved on to other games as result from the dh glitch, so if it still active for next season, many players wont even bother.

200k players? LOL. Sure buddy, XB has 100k players. No one ever seen or teamed up with them. The only proof they exist is a record on the leaderboards, except no one scrolls down past 100-150 rank…so they might as well not exist.

On XB, there about 200-300 active “group tryhards” and about the same amount of tryhard solos. That’s it. If you’re not in the top 200-300, you don’t play.

When 10,000 players like you quit, no one even notices. Do you care if there are 35000 Wizards on the Leaderboard or 25000 or just 10000? Yeah, nobody cares.

When 150 tryhards quit early, it’s very noticeable.

A lot of them already said they wont be playing if its still there. Only solo boards will matter and those will be messed up because the exploiters will have 3k paragon first weekend and who knows by end of season.

Argue all you like, but besides the GoD Exploit DH people, there really isn’t that much exploiting going on on x-box seasonal. Otherwise an enthusiastic but really BAD and SLOW player like myself would never had made the top 10 in 5 solo LB’s and top 20 in three more. X-box is 99% legit in solo softcore, thank God!

How is it legit when many people roll their gear red in the first few weeks of a season?

99%, dude… Check the solo LB’s on x-box… How much unrealiistic stuff do you, outside GoD DH??? I haven’t checked, but almost everything seems legit. With obsessive re-rolling, you will end up with some primals. And lets be honest, a Primal will not get you into tiers that are much higher, compared to just having well-rolled Ancient…

On XB1 those are not possible, only on PS and Switch and we were talking about XB1.

re-rolling isnt legit though and your claim of 99% legit is incorrect.

Reforging a Legendary effectively re-rolls an item completely… How is that not legit?

So what else is not legit about the xb 1 LB’s?

Consoles hold their hero data locally. That means they can be backed up to a USB memory stick. So, you save your hero data to USB memory stick, use all your materials reforging, if you don’t get what you wanted, you copy the data from the USB memory stick back to the console, overwriting the save on the console, and repeat until you get what you wanted.
