Mechanic of hammerdin

Question for the professional on mechanics for hammer regarding runes Burning Wrath vs Limitless.

I explain my question:

Does the Damage over time with 330% + 320% direct hit is better. Vs Limitless as 640% direct hit?

I’m wondering because I read somewhere that Dot with fire is always a key success, someone pointed at me that the fire over time would not get the multiplicative of all hammers % skill inc.

If it does , the hammerdin build should go magefist ?

A other factor is that when you are running a Gr and leave a trail of fire behind as mob follows you. A lot of dmg is on continue, vs Limitless that simply hit and go.

330 + 320 is 10% higher than 640.

Anyone take?
