MAKE DIABLO GREAT AGAIN!

on behalf of all the veterans that still play diablo 2 and all of Blizzards games please heed this advice. Bring back the original diablo 2gameplay,the skill trees and customizing builds was awesome. The graphics of blizzard, frozen orb, and others was so awesome. PVP was awesome too. Include the hellfire torch and annihilus the same as it is in diablo 2. keep the same stat options also. Rolling a chance for 20-20-10 annihilus and 20-20 torch was part of the best thing in diablo 2. You could simply add 1 more skill trees giving a total of 4 skill trees and add 2 more characters into diablo 4 from diablo 2. Dont follow the same mistakes as diablo 3. Learn from your mistakes and bring back the unique features that diablo 2 had. also include unique Items that included teleport, unique items that were absurdly overpowered like nightwings, crown of ages,occulus, etc etc. Use what was great about diablo 2 pgems, runes, the horadric cube and epic story line, the ability to grush with one person getting the quest only. Add an extra slot into the inventory, simple changes from diablo2 make a huge difference to players! you dont realize how the smallest changes can create new and exciting builds. ALL THE DIFFERENT MODIFIERS FOR ITEMS WERE EXTREMELY IMPORTANT TO GAMEPLAY…FASTER HIT RECOVERY, FASTER CAST RATE, LIFE REPLEN, MANA % INCREASE.

D4 is supposed to be D4, not D2 clone. It is supposed to be step forward, not backwards. Take the good aspects from all previous games and improve them, then add some new and original to the mix.

People who consider D2 the ultimate definition of an ARPG should just keep playing D2. They seem to completely ignore the fact that there are bad aspects too in D2 which have no place in modern ARPGs.

Lol these young people who grew up on Diablo 3 are like “go play Diablo 2 stop trying to influence D4 i dont like seeing posts from people with other perspectives”.

The actual majority opinion, not Diablo 3-forum majority opinion, obviously it’s heavily D3-biased, wants Diablo 4 to be like Diablo 2 but innovated on, way more than Diablo 3.

What we have?
Diablo 3, with like 2 things from Diablo 2, and not the right things, and a whoooooole bunch of Diablo 3 sided political choices that they already made, like movement, like camera, like graphics, like art, like style, like voice acting, and all this D3-stuff that you can’t go both ways on it’s 2 vs 3 or new.

Inventing a whole new game would be better than taking after Diablo 3 so heavily.

“Go play D2” more like “These devs should be taking after D2 a whole, lot, more, than they are, and so this is the place we have to tell them that, and group like minded folks who lurk here instead of other games like switch f/e or reddit”.

“Go play D2” more like “ok i didnt play that much D2, relatively, or care about it, so instead of buying D2 and playing it / studying it in detail, and why it is so good in certain choices isolated, and overall too lumping in the bad choices it has, ill just say “go way” bc i dont want to admit that i dont know D2 that well to understand why it’s so good”.

Because you 100% disproved your claim that the majority of people ALREADY want what you want.

Claims need irrefutable facts and numbers to back them up. You ain’t got a damn thing.

And then you want ME to get your numbers for ya. Tragic.

Then again that’s what happens in cases of mass delusion. And by mass, I mean the same 10-20 people in the D3 forum who just parrot each other without having a friggin clue what ya’ll are actually saying.

Hardly…

All I see is…

D2 is better because…Trading…PVP…whathaveyou….with no follow up on what was great about those things or even mentioning drawbacks like third party sites being better than setting up a trade in game. Or, that PVP was mostly griefing (I’ve posted about my experience with the Hostile Button and that’s what most “PVPers” want).

So yes, they sound exactly like my post.

You waste your own time typing up those walls of text when you ignore the fundamental reasons behind what “I WANT I WANT I WANT” are detrimental to Diablo games.

Even moreso ignoring D2’s general state for the longest time: a cesspool of cheaters, botters, dupers, hackers + griefers - made only possible by what D2 already has, and what you want Diablo 4 to have.

Which means you either deliberately want D4 to fail, or…fill your own blanks.

Moral of the story: you wasted your time typing all that WANT WANT WANT drivel up.

Ok, here you lost me tbh. What was so cool about D2 PvP?

But, don’t you want a remastered D2 instead? I still play to D2 sometimes, right now I’m waiting for the server to be less buzy because waiting an hour to create a game isn’t how I want to spend my time.
Let’s be real here, D3 sold much more than D1 & D2 together, this doesn’t invalidate the fact that the 2 previous chapters has truly good stuff in it.
You should watch the D4 panels from the Blizzcon, this is roughly how D4 is going to be

Actually, I prefer D1 shrines at D2 or D3, but I wouldn’t sound like a D1 fanboy :shushing_face:

Said it before and will say it again

D4 should consider D2 as a floor (not a ceiling) to what it can do. As long as the devs avoid the 4 big mistakes from D3 (Weapon multipliers and no skill powers, Trifecta or die trying, Dumbed-down toughness, Bad attribute system) they’re free to do whatever they want (IN FACT, I’d encourage more creativity for as many new things as possible)

NOW is the time for innovation. Just keep the “ideas behind creation” true and honest with a well-consolidated with the experience (of failure/s)

“Die hard” of each existing game in the genre (PoE, D2, D3, and potentially some others) will continue to play what they already play, we need an honest attempt of experience/lessons-learned honest (not just gameplay-wise but also on company level) and keep on with the creativity forward, now is the time (and phase) for that

IF there’s something “not quite right”, there will be an avalanche of voices (probably) everywhere, so it’s fine with the quarterly updates, introduce us to new things (but more in depth, not just surface-related BS)… :thinking: :slight_smile:

Perhaps trolling the forums is the real endgame LMAO.
