Was thinking of a LON necro for S18, but after rolling one up in non-season, finding ancient gear WITH thorns is a long long daunting task with a massive amount of mat farming for reforging. Anybody have an alternative? The shear RNG of the process seems to be driving me to a LON monk as the gear generally falls “usable”.
You will still be looking at secondary affixes with monks, namely resists.
With the Monk’s passive Harmony, this ends up being a huge toughness boost for higher GR’s.
However, it’s not game breaking like thornless items are for thorns builds.
The Monk wants elemental resist vs all correct…to leverage Harmony? Played a Barb since release, so looking to branch out this go round.
You can always play non-meta LON like Poison Scythe. With stone gauntlets & ice climbers you can literally go afk in 120+ and never die.

Yeah, and don’t even worry about the thorns build. The amount of fishing and frustration that comes with that build is not worth your health. Really isn’t!!!

Gald you posted this, I was thinking the same thing. For hardcore I’m going Monk plus everyone is happy to have a Monk in their game for toughness.
