I’m as diehard about the game as they come but next season will be ultra hard pass for me if it’s just Wizards N’ Necro for the 3rd year straight.
Keep in mind that the meta has been Wiz and Necro since 2017.
We’re coming up on 2020 in a month.

this is what keeps me up at night.
If the nerf bat swings too hard we end up with another season of the exact same meta, instead of it switching up. Similar to what happened to barb, it was exciting to see WW taking it’s place back as #1 barb build, and you could see the player base was excited for it also, for the first time since like season 3 WW was on top again… then have that rug yanked out from under our feet. Sader being this strong is fine. Is it balanced? Hell no… but this game is so old it will be refreshing to see more people able to push into higher tier GR’s instead of just the uber no-lifers & botters who grind 3500+ paragons each season.
The real thing that needs nerfed are main stat from paragon. Put a cap on when paragon either stops giving main stat or starts getting diminishing returns. Leave sader alone or tweak it very slightly (like a cap on shield buff… or something) As a player it is, again, very refreshing to see the meta change. Something that the D4 dev’s were very blatant about wanting to do with D4 is switch up the meta every “season”. Well… the meta has been pretty stagnant in D3 for many seasons in a row.
Make lamentation great again. then start working on the other classes to bring them up in line with the new top tier.

This is why I’m sure, IF, and I hope, IF Barbarian gets buffed, it almost definitely won’t be 200%. That would be like admitting Blizzard was straight up wrong. I’m expecting a 100%, even a 150% would be generous - even though I think 200% is required for the build to be strong. But at least 100% would be playable.
whatever they do, they shouldn’t wait to long on this tho. if they decide to buff barb (which they should) and they decide to nerf sader, they don’t end up destroying AoV potential like they did with whirlwind and having no time to readjust before s19 start.
Please don’t nerf the crusader, it is the 1st thing in a long time that this game has produced that is an improvement to the casual player. I play for like 1 month a season ( the grind after that is not worth the time investment). I was totaly excited with this crusader build ( i have tried 3 different builds with the new set) Simply up the GR lvl cap and start buffing other classes accordingly. You are starting a new Era anyway just make this the benchmark and go from here, let people have fun blowing the place up.

I would love personally to see them put that buff back on Lamention, I am not holding my breath. Blizzard and their past on this kind of thing speaks for itself.
This is my opinion, but Rend WW is still playable. Mind you Barbs are not my favorite class. I still prefer to play Talrasha Meteor, Generator or WoL Monk, or Lazynecro.
Prior to these buffs the best I ever pulled off on a WW barb was a 75. I easily jumped to 95 after these buffs, and t16 is a joke. These are without augments and only 1300 para in the off season. I am fairly casual player. I tend to spend more time in WoW (retail and classic) than anywhere else. So to me getting close to 100 with the barb is great. Puts it up with my Tal Meteor that I typically switch to after a few days.
My buddies and I always come back for start of season and depending on how much fun we are having tend to last either a couple of weeks to a couple of months of the season. And short of some major changes, will probably all be rolling barbs this next season to start with even without the %damage to Lamention.

I cleared a 120 in 12 minutes first try (bad map and mobs) with 3 ancient items, an intelligence dagger with no %damage, a random amu that had cold% on, no augments, at 3.5k para. I died once while chatting in general. It is overpowered and needs to be pulled back.

Will there be a hotfix update today?
Planning my weekend and I don’t want to waste time working on a build of it is going to change.

seriously, nobody here wants to see another blog right now, they want to see clear actions, more words are meaningless!
u planned more time between patch and season just to be able to fix stuff, now dont chicken out with some lame blog and just hotfix stuff and let the barbs and saders have their fun, its just a videogame ! let the people be free from the ratruns!
? Ppl do want a better communication. Blog post is necessary. Fix/balance are also necessary.
Blog is Nev’s job.

I hope they put lamentation back to 200 or otherwise keep the fjord bug. Atleast can do rend speeds again instead of boring rats.
Fjord with rend will only make you slower, not faster.
Agreed, Fjord Cutter seems better for pushing than for speeds.
One issue I’d like to add to the list is that this game sucks and has sucked since launch, with the expansion fixing a grand total of (0) issues.
You’re not only wrong, but you’re also not providing any sort of appropriate feedback.
I’m right. Enjoy the game man but know that it’s trash
