Leader Boards and Botting?

You didn’t add enough 0’s.

Seriously.

Assuming that you are NOT joking…

A parent is allowed to share an account with a minor child. They can take shifts and each play for 12 hours a day. The account is active for 24 hours a day.

The original post show how this could actually be done for real; complete with how a clan could support them so they only ran GRs (popping in to other games just for the rift close, or the bounty caches drop). The four players do not need to ‘shift change’ at the same time.

Really I don’t want a repeat of what happened last time I brought this up. It is possible. It is within the ToS. there are people with late teen children that both play D3. A clan leader would want to do this and could easily do the work to set it up.

Stopped reading here. Anyone who believes this and not bots is delirious. You’re just a bot defender.

Is that what they use to disguise bots? Like their own mini-version of Windows Defender?

Slavery for playing a computer game? first time I heard that one. Maybe it’s time to go outside and get some fresh air.

Oh BOY you are off the mark. I’m defending Blizzard. I absolutely hate bots. you REALLY don’t know what you are talking about.

The one that is delirious is you, The TOS states that the account CAN be shared with a minor without breaking any rules
You say they are botting, and they probably are but that doesn’t change the fact that a parent CAN share their account with a minor
The trick for you is to prove beyond reasonable doubt that it is botting and not a parent and minor both playing the game
Give them proof positive of a bot running and NOT they play 23-24 hours a day
and besides War has advertised the botting program for all to see and telling everyone that bans don’t take place, so a lot of people are going to read that and think, well they aren’t going to ban people and bot haters are telling me what program I need to run to have a chance with the rest of the cheaters so what the hell and join the botting brigade
Special shoutout to War for singlehandedly making the botting situation worse
I just can’t for the life of me work out why a person that supposedly hate cheating goes out and advertises the cheating program for all to see

Who are you trying to convince, everyone else or yourself? You’ve obviously never seen those who can play for 3 days straight with little to no sleep and a ton of Red Bull.

And that was actually me when I first got Diablo 2, back when I was like 15. Played the entire Friday, the entire weekend and was still going on Monday.

And there are far bigger adult nolifers than that who play ancient games for at least 12 hours straight.

Shows what you know
Like a minor isn’t going to jump at the chance to play games all day long

As for the idiotic slavery remark you might as well lock up all parents for giving children chores
The child will call it slavery just to get out of doing work

Do a forum search for the term “22 hours per day”.

Most parents don’t give their kids chores that take 12 hours a day.

And since when was playing games a chore

I personally dont see any problem at all with botting ive seen many players, and usually on the top end level say that if they couldnt bot, they wouldnt even play this game. This game is about grinding, and people cant play it 24/7 with a 4 man party which is more efficient (although some chinese are managing to make their bots do rats), and as much as some casuals around here try to say they have fun playing solo, I seriously doubt if they play more than a month each season. Which leads us to the most boring part of this game, but necessary.

The solution for botting, and I mean it, would be blizzard implementing some sort of passive progression to your character, like that people wouldnt be drawn too much to botting.

I have said it several times, what you are looking for is not a solution. The solution is to eliminate the site that promotes bots. Nothing will solve if “some botters” are eliminated, they will buy new accounts, and many of them will come out of a banwave unscathed, so what’s the point here? Just a placebo?

yes … there is no reason to ridicule an important topic.

there are dozens of good coders. if one team is gone, another will soon come. the demand is there. for whatever reason.
they don’t have to do anything against bot sites. just bring out reasonable anti-cheat program and the pages with bots disappear. nobody will buy them. they probably sell subscriptions like aimbots/wallhacks for planetside2 in the past? they earn very good money and don’t want to lose their customer.

So, why isn’t there an efficient anti bot year after year? This suggests that Blizz has no plans to do anything about it. If they haven’t done so far, they won’t do it anymore.
So what remains is to remove the site that promotes the bot.

Since it would be for 84 hours a week, i.e. twice as long a full-time job.

strange question. why have there been hardly any updates for 7-8 years? even a student creates a set for existing skills on one working day. 3d models here are also ugly and have hardly any polygons. even players bring out good models for other games. because that’s very easy. the fact is that d3 has been abandoned forever.
and for a usable anti-cheat code, a coder must have a high level of intellect and creative approach. such specialists are expensive.
